Archangel Update
Hello everyone, I apologize for the long silence!
The IMMORTAL re-write is coming along nicely. It'll be awhile until it's completed, but hoping for it to be finished before the Fall.
I have written FREEDOM (book 3), just waiting for it to be edited.
I am currently writing book 4. Really excited to continue writing the series!
Currently don't have any other updates, but will have some this Summer!

Hello,
Just wanted to send out a little update on the Immortal rewrite.
The majority of the changes have gone to Part 1 - more details, added information, more backstory, more facts, etc..
Both parts are in the process of being re-edited as well.
Shooting for a Summer re-release!

The Archangel Series Update
Hello,
So I've been back and forth about something for awhile now and I've finally made up my mind.
I am going to have IMMORTAL re-edited. In addition to this, I'm also going to add a few things into the first book. Mainly minor things, just more details of things. But I'm also going to have the book be in two parts - but it will still be one book.
**SPOILER ALERT**
So if you've read IMMORTAL, Part 1 will end when Alexander becomes immortal. Part 2 will begin with the next chapter to follow Alexander's immortality.
**SPOILERS DONE**
The whole thing has been eating me away and I feel like this is what's keeping my book and my series off the best seller's list and top books on Amazon. I just want my series to be the best that it can be. So with a new editor fixing IMMORTAL and with me adding details to the book, it will be an amazing read - I assure you.
To all of those who have bought and read the first book already, I do apologize and eventually I will try to give you the new copy for free.
Thank you for reading.

Resistance Reviews On Amazon
RESISTANCE
5/5: "The battles are bloodier, the romances are better, and the story keeps you on the edge of your seat, especially in the final few chapters. The editing is much, much better in this book! Very happy to see that! Can't wait for book 3!"
4/5: "What a difference a good editor made. The first book had a great story line but was difficult to read. This one continued the story, yet was so much smoother to read. I can't wait for the next one."

The Archangels Q&A
Hello,
A few days ago, I asked fans to send their questions about the series. Below are the questions answered.
Q: How many books will be in The Archangel Series?
A: There will be eight books in the whole series. However, I am strongly considering making short in-between stories to tell the untold stories that didn't make it to any of the books.
Q: Do you know how your series will end?
A: Yes, I know exactly how it will end. Thinking about it makes me sad and happy at the same time. I will miss these characters, but I'm excited to write my next series as well.
Q: What roles do female characters take on in your series?
A: The female characters in my books take on a bunch of different roles including the leader, the warrior, the damsel, the lady, the villain, and the victim. I think it's important to have both strong male and female characters because not only does it make it more realistic, but I also believe it helps the story move forward in more ways than one.
Q: How did you come up with the idea for the series?
A: I believe it was the second episode of Supernatural that gave me the idea. The episode featured a wendigo (native american werewolf) and the brothers were hunting it and that's how I got the idea for the entire series.
Q: How does your series differ from Twilight?
A: Twilight is a love story between a mortal girl, a vampire, and a skinwalker. Though The Archangel Series does have romantic sub-plots, the series centers upon the never-ending war against evil. The series is a bloody and gritty and the only thing I can compare it to would be the Underworld movies.
Q: Why is it called The Archangel Series?A: In the books, there is an organization that has dedicated their lives to fighting evil and they are called The Archangels. Most of the characters in the series fight with the Archangels.
Q: What will the title of book 3 be?
A: Book 3 will be called FREEDOM.
Q: What do each of your books represent?
A: IMMORTAL represented family. RESISTANCE represented discovery. FREEDOM will represent independence.
Q: How do you come up with your characters' names?
A: It depends on the character. A lot of times, I will do a search for a certain type of name - region, ethnicity, time era, etc.. For the main characters, Alexander and Marcus. I got Alexander from Alexander the Great and Marcus from Marcus Aurelius. Both strong names and figures that I've personally respected.
Q: Have you ever used people you know to create a character?
A: Yes. I've used appearance for some and personality for others. For instance, Sinead's appearance is based off someone I used to know. Alexander's personality is based off my own.
Q: If they were to make a movie based off your books, who would you want to play the characters?
A: I've given this a lot of thought actually. Perfect fit for Alexander and Marcus would be Liam and Chris Hemsworth.
Thanks for reading!

Facebook Live Feed Recap
Hello, so if you follow me on Facebook, you'll notice I've started to do some live videos discussing my book and other things.
If you check out my book on amazon and click the little picture, you are able to read the first four chapters of my book for free and part of the fifth chapter as well. So if you are undecided about buying it, you can read some of the book for free there.
If you'd like more regular updates, you can follow me on Twitter @Tim_Routledge and @Immortal_Book1. Follow me on Instagram at @slimmy_timmy and on Snapchat @slimtim2293 and of course on Facebook @Tim Routledge.
As the editing phase of Book 2 comes to a close, I'll be posting more pre-release things like concept art and other things.
I've started Book 3 already as well and I also have figured out the plot for the rest of the series (which will be 6 books total).
NO SPOILERS HERE
But Book 1: Immortal and Book 2: Resistance. The rest of the series' titles will be "classified" for now, but worry not - they will be revealed as time goes on.
After the series is finished, I will release single short stories that are related to the series. I currently have six in mind as well. Those will be significantly shorter than the books, but each will tell a different story not mentioned in any of the books.
Another thing I shared in my video was the next series I will write after I finish The Archangel Series. It is called The Tales of Telaria.
Tales of Telaria is a world I created from scratch. Created the world, drew the map, created an alphabet, created species, and a bunch of other things. If you've ever read Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, Game of Thrones, Narnia, or the Eragon series, you'll love this series I'm working on. Mythology and fantasy are two of my favorite things in the world and this series is so intense and has so much depth, and I just know you'all will love it.
I also mentioned a sci-fi series that I am working on. The title of that one is currently still underdevelopment. But it will be a gritty, dark sci-fi series. Thinking another six book series. Will be written much like Game of Thrones - with each chapter having a different character. I'm a pretty huge sci-fi fan - loving Star Wars, Star Trek, Mass Effect, etc.. So you'll be in for something pretty epic when you read that series.
As I also mentioned, I have tons of stories that I'm planning - even more than what I have mentioned.
Please check out Immortal on Amazon. Pick it up on Kindle for $2.99 and on paperback for $14.99. Check it out, read it, leave a review! I'd greatly appreciate it! Thanks for reading!

Resistance will be available for pre-order when it is finalized. Will update you more on that as soon as I can.
That's about all I have for now. I will definitely work on getting more blogs out there on a regular schedule.

Influenced By
Hello! So in this post I will be talking about some of my favorite authors and how they inspired me to write like I do.
First we have, C.S. Lewis. Known for the Chronicles of Narnia. Great books if you never read them! I read these way back when I was in elementary school and this is how I got turned on to Mythology and fantasy fiction in general. His writing style is clear and basically a no-brainier to understand, which is why The Chronicles of Narnia are basically children's books, however, I will still bring them out every once in a while and read them again.
J.R.R. Tolkien! Now this guy is a genius. Best known for Lord of the Rings and the Hobbit. The Hobbit is more suitable for younger ages because of its lighter tone, still a great book though! The Lord of the Rings is a very complex book series. But its complex in a fantastic way. Tolkien created his own language! Just think about that. He invented a language. His books are fantastic and he is a great inspiration to me.
J.K. Rowling. Best known for Harry Potter. You can probably notice a trend forming by now, I bet. Fantasy is what I do. J.K. Rowling, I absolutely love the way she writes. The world she created is purely amazing. (The books are better than the movies!) I really love her characters. Not just who they are, but how she wrote them. The many different personalities. For example, Voldemort is the series villain, but I liked him a lot. He was cool villain with a goal that was similar to Magneto in X-Men. So it was cool. I liked him. The villain I couldn't stand was Professor Umbridge. In the films she's annoying enough to where you get the idea, but in the books - you really want to kill her! That's some amazing writing right there! When you, the reader, want to kill a character in the book.
George R.R. Martin. Best known for Game of Thrones. This guy is definitely up there with Tolkien! The world he created is amazing and not to mention he created languages too! He took mixtures of different languages and created a new one. That's a lot of work right there, but so amazing! His fantasy world gave me tons of inspiration. The dark tone in his books is really cool and something that's not really expressed in a lot of books. But I really like it, it makes it realistic. And speaking of really hating a character! Geoffrey and Ramsey! Am I right??
I've also noticed while writing this article that everyone I've named so far has initials in along with their names. Wonder if I should do that? Tim L. Routledge. Or T.L. Routledge. I don't know! Leave your suggestions in the comments!
Continuing on! Joseph Delaney. Best known for The Last Apprentice series (Seventh Son). I've only just started to read his books, but so far they're fantastic. Magic is hard to include into fantasy at times. But I think he did a really great job with it. So far I'm loving the books!
Christopher Paolini. Best known for the Inheritance Cycle series. This guy wrote his books when he was younger than me and was very successful. How can he not give me inspiration?? Plus gotta say that I absolutely adore any awesome books about dragons, GOT included! His books are a mixture of everything awesome and I love his books.
Well there you have it! Those are my inspiration authors. Hope you enjoyed!
