Thief in the Castle has a lovely new cover! There's nothing wrong with the first cover, but this one is a bit more in league with my comp titles and the YA Fantasy that's being released right now.

And another change is the name on the bottom of the book. That's right - Stars and Bones is now under the name Beatrice B. Morgan, a new name for a fresh cover.

I surpassed my book goal in 2017, and I'm aiming for a whopping 35 books this year. (I know, that's not high compared to other people, but I'm a slow reader. I like to absorb.)

Ever have someone tell you that they enjoyed your book? Genuinely enjoyed it. I did this past weekend, and I got them good willies going on.

I'm participating in National Novel Writing Month for the first time. Yes, I'm excited. I'm using the month to write out a story that I've been plotting a while: a high fantasy of thieves, assassins, revenge, and secrets - or so I hope. Let's see what horrors the first draft unleashes.

I'm so excited to finally have this novel finished and out there. It's been years in the making. Yes, it is self-published like my others; Yes, it has been professionally edited; Yes, I used this novel as my master's thesis; and it has gotten the seal of approval from several pairs of professional eyes.

I like the "to-read" shelf, but I never go there to find a new book to read. I typically have my next book already started when I'm on the last lap of the current book. And, it's usually from the library shelves. I'm the nerd that needs to feel the book; smell the book; read the first page to make sure it's not to terribly written that I can finish it. You know?
