The Crane War - The Panopticon Fortress

I like to map out the locations where major events happen.

In the upcoming book

The Crane War (The Metaframe War, #5) by Graeme Rodaughan

Anton Slayne, and the Mirovar force team ally with Anton's grandfather, Arthur Slayne to infiltrate the Panopticon fortress and destroy it.

(At least, that's the plan...)

The fortress is as follows.

Panopticon Fortress

Key Features.

[Not Shown]: Outer perimeter fence is approx. a square 6 miles across with the fortress at its center. The open spaces are guarded by armed ground and air drones linked back to the Panopticon AI.

[Not Shown]; Geothermal power stations #1 (primary) and #2 (secondary) sit 400 yards to the west and east respectively, outside the inner perimeter fence.

[Not Shown]: There is a network of underground maintenance tunnels interconnecting throughout the main site, including the power stations and water pumping station.

Specter Class Defense Towers (4 total, one at each corner) these are the secondary defense system designed to operate against ground and air forces.

Armed with the 'Spectre Sensor array' linked back to the Panopticon AI, each tower has its own dedicated fuel cell and can operate at full capacity for another 24 hours if the main power is cut.

Weapon systems include.
[A] 60 vertical launch cells holding a mix of hypersonic surface to air missiles designed to take out anything from a hypersonic cruise missile, to a Shadowstar drone, or satellite.
[B] 2x 30mm Autocannon with deep belt feeds, good to target anything out to 2 miles. Both cannons are mounted on rails and can track 360 degrees around the tower.
[C] Rail-Gun similar to the Commander tank - 50 shots - range to horizon, on a rail for 360 degree field of fire.
[D] 20mm CWIS point defense against attacks.
[E] Laser point defense system - effective to horizon. Will continue firing until power runs out - excellent against drones.
[F] 2x 7.62mm Mini-Guns - close in anti-personnel weapons.

Nemesis Class Defense Tower (1 only, integrated with the south-west corner of the main admin building.) Has a dedicated fuel-cell and is the primary defense system of the Panopticon, Armed with a 'Nemesis Sensor Array,' and the following weapons.

[A] 60 vertical launch cells holding a mix of hypersonic land attack cruise missiles including ones with 20kt nuclear warheads.
[B] 1x Rail-Gun Phalanx = A tribarreled weapon twice the size of the Spectre version. Able to shoot three 45lb kinetic spikes at mach 11, per second. Targets beyond horizon. 150 shots.
[C] Able to slave all Spectre Defense Tower weapon systems (if granted, or the Spectre tower is down) i.e. it has access to the other VL cells if needed.

Underground hangers.

Anyone landing a Nightfalcon or a V23 Osprey II can descend via a lift to the underground hangers - Good for vampires arriving during daylight.
