sirens outside my window
my reflection in a doorknob
all wobbly and weird
i try to slap a fly
but he sees me coming
with his two million eyes
and zips away
before i can smash
him to oblivion
as the cat sleeps
happily on the clean sheets
and piled laundry
spread across the bed
