Love, Attraction and Expectation
Words become short, if I begin to talk about Love. Nobody can define love; love has such density in it. Attraction, chemistry, sequential relationship of past births, natural compatibility, divinity, purity, oh my god! People attribute so many things to love; but, nobody knows what it is. In one single sentence, if I have to say something about love, I would say, ‘It is through which you see yourself in others’. If you love somebody, it means, you are able to see yourself more clearly in that soul. If you hate someone, it means, you are not able to witness anything related to you in that ‘soul’. These are the better definitions which I believe, I could make on Love.
A true lover without any difficulty understands the feelings of his companion. He need not require any explanation; he need not require any clue, through a mere presence, he understands who you are! And what you are! Scientific researches give so many reasons for this natural process; but still they are inferior in explaining about love.
‘Like poles repel each other and opposite poles attract each other’ who doesn’t know this magnetic formula? But in love, all formulas cannot work all the time. I have seen people, who in spite of having common attributes, still failing to live a harmonious life. I have also seen certain couples, though differing very much in their behaviors, hobbies, interests and choices, still living a romantic life. Is it because of the mutual respect are they able to achieve harmony? I still cannot come to a conclusion; because, I have also seen few couples, who are harmonious but concluding, “We do not feel anything special in love”
It is as mystic as simple, as free as precious, as abundant as rare, it is the divine love. We cannot say it is the external beauty alone which causes attraction. There is something beyond the beauty which makes one to love another soul. Also we cannot say ‘It is because of personal qualities, a person falls into love’, we cannot also say that ‘It is because of many such combinations of beauty, qualities and attributes people fall into love. All theories have failed in love. This is the reason, I strongly believe, ‘When you can see yourself more clearly in another soul, you start loving that person, if not, you reject. Love is the reflection and expression of your Soul.
Expectation is the unavoidable subject when it comes to the matter of love. Many psychiatrists, counselors have been researching on this important and unavoidable element which enters without our knowledge into our minds; but when you truly love somebody, you are far ahead of expectations. You need nothing from that soul, except its presence. The presence itself will make you delighted.
Is it wrong to have expectation from my lover? Well, I would say such sort of love is the elementary level of love. As you progress in love, you begin to neglect the benefits; you are no more a trader then in love. If you want to trade in love, it is not possible. Love is not the object to trade with. You know, if you are so conscious and keen in expectation, only have this expectation from your beloved soul. That is ‘Presence’. Expect only your companion’s presence and nothing more.
“By the presence of whom, all my physical and mental planes can reach to an exalted state, by the presence of whom, my materialistic and spiritual journey can boost up, by the presence of whom the mutual evolution of souls can happen, such is the real companionship” and if you have such a companion, you demand only the presence of such person and nothing more.
