You guys! It’s finally here! Today, we are over here celebrating two birthdays—that of my youngest son, who turns 3, AND that of my book baby, The Joy of Falling, which releases today!

I’m so excited to share this story with you for a number of reasons. It’s a book that was really difficult for me to write, because it’s largely about grief, and I wrote it during a time of grief (though when I originally started the book, I didn’t know I’d be experiencing the loss of my grandma!).

And now, it’s releasing during a time of immense upheaval, with so many of us experiencing grief over the loss of normalcy, the loss of jobs, the loss of vacations, the loss of dreams, and even the loss of people we love.

I truly can’t believe it’s the end of October already…and with it, the RELEASE DAY for my Christmas novella​ Like a Winter Snow!

It feels like I’ve been waiting a looooong time, but the launch of The Secrets of Paper and Ink is finally here! This book about a bookstore in Cornwall, England, and the way the lives of three strangers intertwine has been such a blessing to me personally. I really felt God with me as I wrote it, and I’ve loved seeing all the ways it’s already affected readers.

Last week, I attended the RT Booklovers Convention in Reno! It was such a blast to meet readers and hang out with other amazing authors, including Denise Hunter, Kathleen Fuller, Rachel Hauck, Patti Callahan Henry, Katherine Reay, and Robin Lee Hatcher.

I even got to participate in a panel discussion and book signing. It was seriously a dream come true!

As Megan and Crystal check items off the bucket list, Megan fights the fears that have been instilled in her after a lifetime of illness. She must choose between safety and adventure and learn to embrace the heart she’s been given so that she can finally share it with the people she loves most.
