My Type on Paper is ASDA’s Teen Book of the Fortnight
It’s a huge author milestone to see your book in a supermarket, as slots are so competitive and often go to big brand names, so I was over the moon to see My Type on Paper stocked in ASDA – and chosen as their teen book of the fortnight!
Here is a picture of MTOP in my local ASDA in Leyton, where I lingered like a creep for half the day, until my boyfriend got bored and made us go home.

My Type on Paper out today
I am delighted that My Type on Paper is out today! I’ve loved working on this fun summer romance with Scholastic, especially as a big Love Island fan.
Available online at Amazon, ASDA, Waterstones and WHSmiths now!
100% my type on paper…or not?
When Maya is pied off by her boyfriend, her two best friends are determined she has a summer of fun. But when Maya feels a connection with not one, but three perfect-on-paper guys, her holiday romance proves more complicated than she expects.
It’s going to be a long, hot summer…

Listen Up published today
I’m made up to see Listen Up hit the shelves today – it’s been so much fun collaborating on this brilliant book. Congratulations Vick and Roman! Jason Cockroft has done a stellar job with the illustrations, and check out the glorious, red sprayed edges…
From Capital Breakfast hosts Roman Kemp and Vick Hope comes this brilliantly funny book.
At their school, Arthur and Grace rein supreme: after all, they’re the cool kids. They’re also the radio kids, and between them they run the schools top two radio shows. Which means that as well as being the most popular kids, Grace and Arthur are also the biggest rivals.
So when a storm hits their school during a surprisinglypopular chess tournament, and a blackout ensues, they can’t wait to scoop each other by being the first to report on the storm. But things get complicated the very next day when their teacher tells them that the real scoop isn’t the storm; it’s the missing trophy.
Suddenly Arthur and Grace are in well over their heads. But with the whole school relying on them, there’s no backing out now.
If anyone can figure out this mess, it’s Arthur and Grace. After all, if you rule the airwaves, you rule the school…

CHCC YA Fest 2019
It was so lovely to be invited back to CHCC YA Fest in 2019 to take part in the ‘LOL YA’ panel with one of my faves, Simon James Green. We had plenty of lols with our lovely chair Eleanor Pender.
It was also great to be attending alongside one of my authors, Laura Coryton, who was doing a talk on her campaigning guide for rebel girls ‘Speak Up!’
Many thanks again to the wonderful Chantelle for organising another fab festival.

Collaboration with Roman Kemp and Vick Hope
I’m thrilled to be collaborating with star radio hosts Vick Hope and Roman Kemp on their hilarious mystery middle-grade debut, Listen Up. I love Vick and Roman on Capital, and I’m so excited to work with them, Scholastic and Jason Cockroft on this exciting new project.
Listen Up will be hitting the shelves this September.

Launch of Book 2
To celebrate the launch of Friendship Fails of Emma Nash, my brilliant new publicist Nina Douglas organised a panel event at Waterstones on the topic of writing friendships and relationships. I was joined by the amazing Kate Leaver (author of The Friendship Cure) and Katie Webber (author of Only Love Can Break Your Heart) and we got into all things buddy and romance related.
Afterwards, we headed to the pub for #drinkYA and a big thanks to Jim Dean and Julianne Benford for helping to organise that.
Thanks to everyone who came, I had such a wonderful evening!

Friendship Fails of Emma Nash out today!
So excited that the second book in Emma Nash’s adventures hits bookshops today! Also, it releases alongside a fancy new cover for book 1.
Now she’s done looking for love, Emma’s expecting life to be a breeze, but with all her best friends in relationships or discovering new interests, Emma’s not sure what to do with herself.
So Emma’s got a mission in mind: making new friends. Signing up for the school fashion show seems like the perfect opportunity. Although soon, through a series of mishaps that are absolutely not Emma’s fault (well, sort of), her world is teetering on the edge of disaster again.
Would going back to creating a life for herself online really be so bad?

YALC 2018
This YALC felt pretty overwhelming (in a good way). I remember the first time I’d gone to YALC only two years previously, wondering if I’d ever be a published author or able to take part in a panel. This year, I was involved in something every day of the festival and I felt like I had to pinch myself.
First, I was on a super fun panel alongside Annalie Grainger and Chloe Coles, chaired by Beth Garrod, and ran a ‘funny writing’ workshop. I was also helping to run the Agents’ Arena, where we gave aspiring authors advice about all aspects of the submissions process and insights into the industry. It was an intense weekend and by the end I felt like I needed to sleep for a full day, but definitely worth it!

YA Lit Cardiff
I’d never been to Wales before, so I jumped at the opportunity to go and be on this YA Lit panel in Cardiff! My boyfriend and I had a lovely weekend visiting, and I loved being part of the fab discussion in Cardiff Central Library with Muhammad Khan, Amy Wilson and Julia Ember.
Thanks to the wonderful Karen Bultiauw for organising!

CHCC YA Fest
CHCCYA Fest was so much fun, not least because it was out near me in East London. Hardly any literary events seem to happen out my way, so I was delighted to be part of something happening in Chadwell Heath Community Centre!
I got to chat BFFs with the fantastic Non Pratt, Alice Oseman and Mary Bello, which was a super fun panel and especially relevant to me on book 2, given that the Editing Emma sequel (Friendship Fails of Emma Nash) is all about Emma’s search for new best pal.
I also got to chat about my job as a literary agent, and give some tips on submissions.
Thanks to the lovely Chantelle for organising! I’ve used the design for CHCCYA Fest in 2019 as the image, as it’s got their fab new branding – if you’re interested in YA and live anywhere near Chadwell Heath, definitely check out this event next year!
