I really should use this blog a bit more...

So, maybe you've guessed but I kind of like comics a little bit. I write about them in my mysteries. I read them a lot--like a lot a lot. And I write them a little.

HEROES ACT, an ongoing comic I've been working on with a wonderful team is funding for issue 2 right now. In fact, it's already funded!

If you're reading this, there's a good chance you've read something else by me. You probably know my brand better than I do. HEROES ACT might be made of words and pictures, but it's as on brand as any story ever. Oh, and there are tiers to get signed paperbacks. So check out

So for today and tomorrow, I really did make Fog Lifted free on Amazon. This is kind of a test, see how many people get it, then see how many people read it – well, I guess I wouldn’t really know that. But then I get to see how many people review it. I’m hoping for like 5, but I’d take 3 or 2 or 1.

I’m still trying to find my voice. Still looking for ways to impart humor. I’ll never be my hero Sir Terry Pratchett or have the prose of Pat Rothfuss, but I’ll keep striving for such things.

I interrupted the editing of Hero in a Halfling to work on something fun and new.

In about a span (11 days if you’re familiar with the calendar of Temerant) I wrote and have now submitted a short tale to Amazon. It’s about 12k words – 50 pages.
