Coming back to the sun

After battling health issues and a long bout of Covid, I'm finally able to enjoy the outdoors and not get so out of breath, I've missed exploring Julia's world and am excited to say her next story will be out later this year. Thank you all for your wonderful private messages of support. They mean everything to me.

We'll get to discover more of her past as she meets up with college friends for a reunion weekend in the Twin Cities. A shipment arrives, but before she's able to open the crates, the shipping calls to let her know of a mix-up and that one of the crates isn't hers. Julia offers to take the crate to the Cities and exchange it Saturday morning.

All is not sunshine and roses when she finds out her soon to be ex-husband, Graham, shows up to the reunion with a familiar blond on his arm. She doesn't have much time to focus on that drama when Sheriff Jack Barrett calls to let her know someone broke into her shop!

She drives back to Grand Marais to find the only things damaged were the unopened crates. In all the chaos, she didn't take the wrong crate to the shipper. She calls Monday morning and finds out the secretary she arranged to exchange the crates has been murdered.

Who broke into the shop and what do they so desperately want... and think she has?

A new mystery to solve in the upcoming..

THE SHOP IS OPEN!

The first book in the Past Imperfect Mystery Series releases next Tuesday.

Julia was in a search of a way out…a way back to herself.

The passing of her favorite aunt sends her to the small artist town of Grand Marais nestled along the northern coast of Lake Superior. There she starts to weave the tattered threads of a new life, rediscovering her love of sketching, while running the antique shop, Past Imperfect. Julia's life is just starting to go right when a mysterious package arrives, tucked inside is an ornate silver letter opener bearing the initials E.C. along with an even more mysterious note. Julia’s natural curiosity piqued, but before she can discover who sent the letter opener, it’s found embedded in Tom Peterson’s chest. The tapestry of her new life begins to unravel as she must work to clear her name and solve the murder.

Infidelity through time and a curse that only she can break – once she figures out how.
