Hello and thank you for stopping by.

I love reading ALL the books, and I've always loved reading the adventures of women in the past so it seemed natural to me to write historical fiction.

I live with my family by the sea in South East England. And with my dog. How did I forget my dog? I enjoy traveling and lived in Japan for several years. I've had lots of different jobs from waitressing and teaching to admin and bingo-calling - but being a writer is my absolute favourite.

I hope my novels help shine a light on the achievements, love and relationships of twentieth-century women, and that the books are entertaining and moving.

I'd love to hear what you think - feel free to send me a message on twitter @LizziePagewrite or on FB or leave a rev

I remember when I was a kid, finding out that there was an actual person behind all the books I loved - a writer! - and then not much after, I met an actual writer and she was quite normal, :) and I thought, ooh, I would like to be like her. So from quite a young age really. It took me years and years to actually get to it though!

The War Nurses and Daughters of War are based on real-life women who served as Nurses in WW1. When I was Yours is about a woman who takes in an evacuated child - and this brings back many of her experiences in WW1 and hopes for the future. The Forgotten Girls is a dual narrative focussing on the girlfriend of the war photographer Robert Capa. And the Wartime Nanny is about a young woman who comes to London from Austria in the 1930's and then has to try to get her family out after the Nazi occupation. I'd love to hear what you think. xx(less)

“Whom the gods love die young.’)”
Lizzie Page, When I Was Yours

“The photographs in the newspaper make me shiver. The Nazis hate everything, but mostly they hate the Jews. You can see them at their massive meetings–rallies, they call them–with their arms out in a salute and their armbands. I think they look pathetic. And he’s such a little, horrible-looking man too, that Adolf Hitler. With his stabby voice and that shabby moustache–a horrible, spoilt little emperor.”
