Europe – A different kind of empire
Europe which used to symbol progress, freedom and globalization, has become a continent in regression. As the world is changing, some nations are progressing while some don’t. It is a natural process. Countries that are less advanced, will progress with the time toward the current dominant society. On the other hand, it is the responsibility of the strong and progressed society to continue to evolve as the time pass. It can be observed in the history of humans, that empires that stopped evolving had finished by being replaced by a population that used to be less advanced previously. This process was natural as the majority of the empire’s used to dominate other population in a less favorable manner. This pushed local population to evolve as domination was a “0 sum game” – The winner takes it all. This was the standard, which made sense in a general nationalist totalitarian structure.
The rise of the European Empire started 500 years ago. Already from its first days this empire had some different aspect than the majority of the empires that arise previously. It was not a single entity empire, but a multi entity one. To make it simple, the majority of the empires has risen from a single source. The Roman empire centered in Rome with one leader. the Persian empire, mongol empire and all the rest of the previous empire were similar in structure. Europe was different, it was an empire rising from many local entities. There were all located in Europe, many different entities were raising of the conquer of the unknown world.
By itself it is a details that makes a big difference. The constant competition and the need to progress was a factor that was one of the fundamental of this expansion. In many ways, I came to believe that the reason that the European empire has manage to emerge and control for the long the rest of the world, is the constant competition in the continent and the need the exceed the others that pushed this progress. Moreover, The fact that many different leaders were leading this quest has created a more flexible mechanism of expansion. Not only different perspective and techniques were used to the conquer and maintenance of the European empire simultaneously, but in case on entity started to fail, its neighbor entity would take over. Leaving the local population no chance to resist.
Looking at the facts, Europe has created the biggest empire ever established in human history in terms of size. Looking on it retrospectively, it can be said that it had the biggest impact of the world population. To make it simple, from the point of view of language adaptation, it is easy to see how the conquer and integration of the European empire affected enormously every population it touches. In 2018, Spanish, English and French are by far the most spoken languages used by the world population originating from in Europe. (It is true that Chinese is Hindu are widely spoken, but these languages originated in the land of the local population). This is one of the many factors that shows the power of expansion of the western empire.
The idea of supremacy of the European people on the rest of the world is very old. Ignoring the racism and megalomania involved, as any other empire, the purpose of the western empire was based on spreading the western philosophy and unifying the world under one rule. This idea is not new, it existed in the majority of the empires. Nevertheless, the European empire is the first one in human history that has managed to bring us to a point in which it is actually possible. Many factors had pushed this outcome – The industrial revolution, the fall of totalitarian ruling and the creation of democracies, the technological revolution and the weakening on Christianity separating it from power.
It is true that the European empire has enslaved, massacred, rubbed and raped the majority of the land and population they had touched. Nevertheless, only thanks to its rise, humanity has marched toward the first possible real globalization. This statement is not belittling the horror, just pointing out the reality as it is. The world is still far from achieving full globalization and the atrocities of the Western empire should not be ignored. But after all, if we are searching to arrive to a real prosperity that will benefit the world population, stop wars, hunger and racism, globalization is the perfect way to do it.

Do you really know what is important?
In our current society, many has developed a life style that can be categories as a constant race. This bring some interesting questions. In this race, against who are we racing? For what purpose? or because of what reasons? The fascinating thing about being in a constant race, is that you do not really have the time to stop and think about it. It is part of the intrinsic problems of living such a reality. When we do have the time and we stop for a moment, those questions look so complicated that we just let them be and continue to race.
In this post, I would like to share with you how I manage to personally find some sense in it. In the reality, I always knew that no hard questions exists when it comes to humans, it is just that we don’t like the answers…..so it becomes complicated. In my personal experience, I manage to tackle this issues, by confronting a very simple question, Why am I doing things to start with? Unfortunately, many people I spoke with about the subject, don’t really have a good answer for that. Why?
In my opinion the answer is quite simple. It is because we do not understand why we believe in things and for what purpose. the good news is that we can change it. It could sound like a hard task at first, but I can reassure you it is not. In the reality, it is a matter of perspective. We can think forward or backward. This distinction really makes a difference. Like any other habit, it is a matter of practice and persistence. I start using it and it changed my life.
Thinking forward can be explain as followed: A way of thinking that is taking in consideration only a limited information about the past concentrate in the present for the sake of avoiding an unwanted future. While thinking backward can be explain like that: A way of thinking that is taking in consideration the future consequences of our actions concentrating in the present possibilities for the sake of avoiding past mistake and promoting the best possible future outcome. Please take a moment……a few minutes or hours as well…..and try to understand how to you normally think.
I took the time to think about it and realized that the majority of the things that I do, are all falling under the thinking forward philosophy. Moreover, I realized that most of this decisions are made because of a blank belief that dictates, that it is important that I do it from the first place. It is important to keep your job, to be part of society, to obey authority, not to be to different, to be a good person, husband, friend and coworker. In the bottom line, it is important to be what you are expected to be and not change how you used to be. Even if you don’t enjoy it, don’t agree or don’t fully understand why….Just continue. We have grown to call it order.
This affect greatly the individual self esteem, his capacity to be creative and flourish. We all require self motivation. It makes us better, stronger and happier. Moreover, we all need to give ourselves a good explanation about what we are doing. I think it is a built in aspect of being a human. Doing things because you have been told to, can give some comfort in the short run, as no decision making have do be made by the individual itself. But in the long run, this behavior make us weak, miserable and depress. I will argue, that one of the reasons so many people today are suffering from depression in the west, is due that reasons.
Doing things out of a deep understanding of what we are trying to achieve is extremely important. Not only because it allow us to make it better, but because it give us control on our own mind. So what is important? well, it is extremely subjective. I believe that each person need to understand it by himself. Nevertheless, there is some guideline that can feet us all. For example, to understand what is important, try to ask yourself what is the purpose of your actions from the first place. Ask yourself if this purpose promote an actual value that you believe in. try to think about where the actions of today will bring you in 5 years from now.
Another way I found to be efficient is to look at what I think is important today and try to put it in a 5 years perspective in a backward thinking. When I’m convinced that something is important I ask myself….In 5 years from now when I will look back, would it really look important or make a difference?
Things that we are doing because we are told to, are good in small doses. But poisonous in big one. If we obey the rules because we need, go to vote, maintain the job we don’t like, maintain relationship we do not enjoy and keep a routine that do not promote our happiness. We lose one of the main aspect of what make as great as human. Many people call this behavior been a sheep, which I disagree with. While it is true it have some similarities, as humans that live that way just walk after the leader to slaughter. From the other side, For the majority of their lives, cheep look quite happy, or at least not depressed.(I actually observed sheep quite a lot in my childhood).
Thinking backward is not rebellious or chaotic, it is liberating and motivating. Understanding what is really important for you, gives new meaning to life and build automated self confidence. Give it a try, let me know how it worked for you.

5 Ways Cryptocurrencies Helps Developing Countries
This article has been originally published in theripplecryptocurrency.com, to read the original click here.
Cryptocurrencies are changing the world in more ways than meet the eye. They have made transactions easier and safer, and the blockchain technology that allowed them to exist is now being used for more than just cryptocurrencies.
Among the most promising developments that have spawned from the cryptocurrency space are the ones that are taking effect in developing countries. Some people believe that cryptocurrencies have thus far functioned only as another game for wealthy investors. The truth is that many people in developing countries are now able to join global commerce in ways that they haven’t been able to before.
The biggest advantages that cryptocurrencies offer the developing world are increased access to money, the improved ability to send or receive it, greater access to ATMs and digital wallets, and a huge increase in transparency, which is sorely missing in many countries.
Cryptocurrencies are helping out developing countries in more ways than one.
1. Access to Banking
The World Bank estimates that over two billion people around the world lack access to banking services. There are several reasons for this, most of which center around poverty, but the end result is that these people are disconnected from global commerce. This is where cryptocurrency now shines…
There are many applications that allow you to open a cryptocurrency wallet and use it for banking purposes from your mobile device. Because mobile devices have proliferated in the developing world far faster than banking services, there is now a perfect opportunity for cryptocurrency to fill in a huge gap in international commerce. The end result is a higher level of inclusivity than would ever be found in traditional banking services.
2. Easy Transactions Over Mobile Devices
The accessible nature of cryptocurrencies allows you to easily complete transactions over your mobile device. It is now safer and easier to maintain a cryptocurrency wallet than it is to deal with banks and various financial institutions, which make international transactions difficult or costly.
3. Greater Transparency
Of all of the challenges holding developing countries back, corruption is one of the most persistent. Unnecessary bureaucracy and corrupt officials cause the ever-growing gap between the rich and the poor to persist, and even money that is set aside for the public interest simply goes missing on a regular basis.
The blockchain technology that enables cryptocurrencies to function comes with tools that make corruption impossible; or at the very least too visible to go unnoticed. The blockchain is an immutable ledger of all transactions. This means that every transaction is publicly recorded on a ledger and it can never be deleted.
This level of transparency makes unscrupulous activities difficult to get away with, while also allowing ordinary people to safely conduct transactions.
4. Greater Social Mobility
Despite the stereotype of cryptocurrencies being another game available only to the rich, cryptocurrencies offer a new solution to global income inequality.
One of the greatest setbacks to social mobility in the developing world is corruption, but as we have seen, that issue is tackled ferociously by cryptocurrencies and their blockchain technology.
Unlike traditional banking institutions, no physical presence at any specific location is required for crypto banking. Generally speaking, you just need an internet connection and a crypto wallet. Now some countries are seeing the rise of crypto ATMs, allowing any user to purchase, send or receive money from anywhere in the world.
Cryptocurrencies provide accessibility, transparency and clarity, three things that are often in short supply in many developing countries.
5. Easier Remittances
Every year, hundreds of billions of dollars in remittances are sent to developing countries. According to the World Bank, this figure stood at approximately $441 billion in 2016.
The remittance payment process has created a global industry that is seldom favourable to migrant workers and immigrants. Traditional remittance services such as Western Union collect fees and sometimes enact various different charges, making these transactions more expensive.
Cryptocurrencies have allowed remittance payments to be made in an easier and far more affordable way. Crypto transfers are conducted very easily, but not at the expense of safety. This is another factor that has made Bitcoin popular in developing countries. There have been new services emerging in developing countries, such as SureRemit from Nigeria, that are targeting the growing crypto remittance demand.
The Verdict
Cryptocurrencies have offered the world an alternative to the problems that come with traditional banking. These alternatives have extended to countries of all levels of economic development. It will be interesting to see how the world at large changes as a result of cryptocurrencies, but there is no doubt that they are also helping developing countries.

Questions about human nature
This text is taken out of my recent book, “Back to Ourselves”:
People who believe humans are naturally bad will find evidence everywhere, just as someone who believes everyone is good will find as much proof. When the two extremes of a philosophical argument are proven to be true, we can conclude that the reality is somewhere in the middle. What, then, is the solution for our question of human nature? To start, we can conclude that we don’t possess a common nature to the point of generalizing humanity. We all share some traits which are beyond our control, but those traits also exist in other mammals, which makes them a natural behavior of mammals and not humans.
We can also safely assume that the majority of the humans have some common traits that guide them. Humans build their beliefs mainly based on their education, societies, and personal perspective. The use of terms like ‘human nature’ is dangerous and misleading as it fixes a set of beliefs in the individual’s mind that represents a segment of reality. Moreover, this categorization of humanity creates an assumption that impose ignorance on individuals when looking in on themselves, their neighbors, and the world.
Throughout history, we can find acts that stem selfishness and self-interest. The interesting thing about those cases is that they normally refer to a minority of individuals and not society as a whole. Humans are unpredictable and don’t have the capacity to predict the behavior others. A moment of self-reflection will reveal moments and actions in an individual’s life that surprise them, and moments in which their closest friends’ actions surprise them. This doesn’t mean that we don’t possess general guidelines in our lives. It just means that sometimes, we act based on different values. In the end, life is very dynamic and constantly changing.
There will always be a minority who act against the “common good.” These people hold a different set of beliefs, and should be always considered as such. As we are entering a new “global era,” it’s important to understand that we are as similar as we are different. As we’ll see in this chapter, the unification of humanity under one sets of values isn’t required for the creation a better world. Instead, we must accept humans regardless of their differences and similarities, their belief in the majority of humans create a better future, and their willingness to oppress and ignore the minorities that try to separate us with violence and fear.
We’re all part of this planet, and we’re all sometimes good and sometimes bad. The majority of people on this planet prefer to live peacefully in their homes and raise families while belonging to a constructive society, knowing they’re part of something bigger than themselves. We are all indeed part of something bigger than ourselves; it is called humanity. For better or worse, this is what we have. We can choose to actively be part of it or ignore it, living in our small isolated islands that we call our life. Doing so won’t change the fact that we’re all in it together, and only together will we manage to create a better future for ourselves, our kids, and our planet.

Why do we all hate bureaucracy?
Why do we all hate bureaucracy? Many of you never really took the time to think about it, as bureaucracy became such a constant part of our lives. Nevertheless, we all have some reluctance to handle paper work and would prefer not to handle with lawyer and accounted’s. It is not by mistake, in the reality the all concept of bureaucracy in not natural and with its evolution has become a burden that no one really one to take on itself. Let me explain myself a bit better.
The invention of bureaucracy has some elements of productivity. In its basic form, it help greatly the capacity to monitor big data. Interestingly enough, the first written language known to us are scripts related to inventory and logistics. Without a doubt, the capacity to write down information give us some great benefits. The first has to do with the fact that we do not have to remember it, which allow us to collect more information and the second have to do with visualization of the information. It can be said as well that bureaucracy allows us to pass data faster and in a more efficient way. Looking on bureaucracy in that manner, will bring us very quickly to understand that only thank to bureaucracy we managed to evolve to where we are today and keep some order in it. In this form, bureaucracy is indeed a tool that promote productivity and efficiency.
From the other side, this is only one part of our current bureaucracy. It is even safe to say that in our current system, this kind of bureaucracy is mainly automated by machines and do not in the majority of the cases requires any human intervention. (the fields in which this is not the case, will be upgraded soon by new system or by the blockchain technology). If you ask some random people what is bureaucracy, their ideas about it will be very far from what I wrote about. How comes? Because bureaucracy has evolved way beyond it original purpose. Today, bureaucracy is directly connected to lawyers, banks and accountant’s. (or all the field that normal people hate to come in contact with and do not fully understand).
I personally find it fascinating and terrible. It is clearly a sign that something went wrong somewhere. How come a tool that was suppose to facilitate our lives became a tool that make us confused, stress and angry? Well, it is because this tool has become a mean to control us. Let me explain myself. In our current system, the mechanical structure of bureaucracy is build from the first place in such a complicated manner, that it is impossible to start to understand it without dedicating yourself fully to it. Moreover, this system is constantly updating itself and changing, which promise that if you don’t keep yourself constantly dedicated to it, your knowledge can become irrelevant. It is in many ways a “Catch 22” or a labyrinth that is constantly building itself while you are running inside of it. It is not productive, not constructive and do not benefit the normal average people.
So why we are still using it? The answer is very simple. this mechanism of control became so strong and rooted in our society that we became to weak to fight it. It can be seen from two different aspects. The first is that unreasonably big amount of people creates their income by working in a bureaucratic field. That promise that they will not only advocate for it but fight to keep us in this cycle of misery. Secondly, the rest of us are bound to be weak in front of our own system as we do not fully understand it and cannot handle with it without spending our income for someone else to to it for us, which makes us poor.
Today, it is almost impossible to win a court case without a layer. It is highly complicated to handle taxes without an accounted. Our system is built in a manner that ones need a bank account to maintain his life (In the western society, many places do not accept cash any more) and insurances became a requirement of local governments.
I personally find it absurd. Many people argue at that point that if we will stop this system there will be chaos an crazy unemployment. If find those arguments irrelevant, as I believe that argument that come for fear from change regardless of the clear knowledge of the destructive reality, is one of the main cause for the biggest tragedies of humanity. Life is never really complicated, it is us that do not like the answers we have that creates the complications.

How Blockchain Could Fix Facebook’s Fake News Problem
This article was originally published at www.ccn.com. to read the original click here
After the 2016 United States presidential election, Facebook started to receive flak for its possible role in Donald Trump’s victory. The usage of Facebook profiles for data analysis by Cambridge Analytica, the immense number of fake news articles on the site and the impact of confirmation bubbles meant that Facebook’s platform was being used to drastically misinform users about the world around them. Though Facebook has recently cracked down with their fake news problem, they still face many roadblocks.
Since Facebook operates as the largest community in the world, the company has an obligation to ensure information getting traction on their platform is accurate. With Mark Zuckerberg being called before Congress and the company coming under fire from legislators, Facebook needs to come up with some technical solutions that can help mitigate their fake news dilemma.
Blockchain technology offers Facebook a variety of ways to overcome information inaccuracy and tampering. Whether they develop a blockchain network to track individual node activity and verify information or integrate blockchain into incentive systems, the tech can help Facebook get back on the right track.
Identity Verification
One of the largest problems Facebook has been seeing is the rise of fake accounts and the usage of these accounts to do mass promotion. These accounts have been tied to the spread of fake news links through Facebook groups. While Facebook has already taken measures to utilize machine learning and artificial intelligence to spot and shut down fake accounts, integrating blockchain can boost these efforts.
With a blockchain network tracking identities on Facebook, individuals can have transparent assurance that their identity is not being stolen. Furthermore, Facebook will be better able to track and compare the actions of various accounts. If one bad actor is in charge of a variety of accounts, blockchain can spot and stop this activity faster than machine learning can.
Rewarding Content Creators

Steem launched as a blockchain-based social media network that rewarded content creators with financial incentives. This platform works similarly to Reddit and gives posters tokens based on the number of up and down votes they receive. Since posters are financially incentivized to minimize down votes and are rewarded for quality content, the social media network is able to sort out bad actors without external intervention.
Facebook could integrate a content-creation incentive system like this, where the highest quality content creators (influencers) are offered financial compensation for driving a large amount of positive engagement. On the flip side, the system would also track and purge content creators who cause the most problems and are frequently reported by the community. Overall, the system should help get more people adding quality content and reduce the amount of fake news and low-quality content.
Tracking Journalist Bias
RedPen is a project that will utilize blockchain technology to track journalists’ reputations and communicate that information to readers. The premise is that blockchain is able to analyze a person’s reputation and bias based on a set of data. The service can then offer insights about the reporter based on any particular bias they have. For instance, if a tech writer has written pro-Apple pieces in the past, that information will be communicated in his blurb when he does a review of the latest iPhone.
Facebook could utilize a similar approach of understanding what people are saying off of Facebook and treating that as a filter. For instance, if someone has a history of posting malicious or false information on a personal blog, that information should be communicated alongside anything they post on Facebook.
Using Crowd Verification
Trive is a social science global consensus engine that researches and clarifies facts and empowers users through cryptocurrency to discover truth through wisdom of the crowd. Combined with game theory, Trive will enable people around the world to research, verify and score the truth of almost any piece of information.
Crowdsourced content verification acts as a normal spam filter on Facebook currently. It makes sense that sepcialize providers would be beneficial in helping monitor content as well as create an ecosystem that rewards people’s time and effort.
Analyzing Publication Bias
Finally, Facebook can work with major publication and content hubs to track the consumer sentiment on their articles and on Facebook to identify the quality of their publication’s content and any potential biases. Blockchain has the ability to crowdsource data and incentivize people to adjust their actions.
With blockchain, Facebook stands a chance of combating fake news and helping create a more helpful environment for their users. There are a number of different approaches they can implement, each offering a different set of product functionality. At least one of these solutions should be used to help track and stop bad actors in the Facebook network.

Why inflation exists? A surprising answer
In my previous post in the subject of inflation, we took the time to understand what is inflation all about. (Click here to read more about it). In this article, we will try to understand why inflation exists if it does not benefit the masses.
Here is my opinion in the subject. Inflation exists because it is benefiting the cooperation’s and it became a necessity for local governments survival. It is as simple as that. In the reality, in our current economical system 2 extreme groups exists that are correlated negatively. In one side are standing the cooperation’s and the elite which are doing everything in their power to create themselves more profit. While in the other side are the masses that are doing as much as they can to try to maintain a decent life in a system that is to big and complicated for them to understand. In many ways, this was always the kind of social structure in the western civilization.
Looking on it from this perspective, it can be easily understood why the concept of inflation has been pushed by the cooperation’s. A constant inflation benefit greatly their profit. In the end of it, there is a limited amount of option for the increase of profit. The devaluation of the employees wages is definitely one of them. Moreover, the concept of inflation benefits the elite and cooperation’s twice. It allow them to increase the cost of their products, while paying less the their employees. (as I mentioned in my previous post, with inflation in place by paying the same wage to an employee for years, the employee is earning less buy getting the same wage).
Now that we understood why cooperation’s benefits from inflation, let pass to the governments. As I mentioned previously, inflation became a necessity for the survival of the majority of the government’s. To really understand why, we will need to start with a few important points. First of all, democratic government should not be a profitable organisation. Which mean no surplus need to be created. In the end of it, the income of governments come from taxes, which is the income of the masses. Secondly, self interest should not enter the governmental sphere. The role of any democratic government should be to promote the common well of its citizens. Not the interest of the self interest elite or the survival of its own entity.
At our current state, the 2 points above are not representing our current system. Our government’s are maintained by lobbyist and self interest people. Which creates a reality in which the main interest of the system is to maintain the cooperation’s and the self interest of the momentary politician. Moreover, In many cases, the existence and the career of a certain politician is based on the funds of cooperation’s for campaign’s and power, which force the decision making to bend toward the cooperation’s. That is only half of the story. The second part have to do with the national debt.
The unimaginable amount of national debt hold by the majority of the countries push a non profitable organisation to pursue profit for the sake of its own survival. Moreover, the national debts themselves are so big, that it is impossible to actually pay them. In our current days, a government that manage to pay its interest rate is considered to be in a good state. Which means that not only a government is now busy making profit, but this profit goes just to maintain this twisted reality without deepening the debt itself. Here is where inflation come to play.
By creating inflation, the national debt of a country diminish in value while keeping the same number. It is a simple logic, if the dollar lost 50% of its value in the last 30 years (shown in my last post). A debt hold by a country 30 years ago has diminish in value in 50% as well. This reality make inflation a necessity for survival of governments. without it, they will not manage to hold their debts. It is as simple as that.

Lets stop killing our saints. A lesson about self evaluation
How many time in your life did you took the time to doubt what is really important? Did you ever stopped to understand why you are doing things from the first place? In our current society this way of thinking is categories as rebellious or chaotic. When coming to think about it, it is extremely strange as our capacity to think is what make us humans. nevertheless, using this capacity to benefit our own growth is preached as a negative thing, while not using it at all is seen as a sign of healthy collaboration and virtue.
I grow up in a society where I’ve been explained from a very early age what I can and cannot do, what is right and wrong and what is important and not important. Without any doubt, is leaves a little space for imagination and self development. For a very long period of my life, it looked to me like what is important or not was very clear. After all, it has been explained to me very clearly and repeatedly. retrospectively I came to realize that this concept have a strong mechanism or reinforcement, which do not require and actual explanation for its logic.
You are explained by the authorities (parent or any other) that some things are very important while other not. Since the majority of the people in your community are explained the same thing at a certain point, the accept same values without really understanding why (don’t doubt the authority explanation). At this point, everybody explains each other that this is how things are, which creates a vicious cycle of norms based on social obedience. After all, we are a social creature that search to be part of a group. It is natural that we will accept on ourselves social norm. But to what extents?
Amusingly enough, after a blind consensus is achieved, any person that will try to doubts the general assumption will be seen as a threat to the current equilibrium regardless of the argument. History is full of good examples. I’m sure that any culture have at least one local example. Retrospectively, after the consensus has been changed we look on some of this people and call them saints, martyr or the father of philosophy. An interesting question arise from this model. Why we do not understand it in time? Why we need to scarify all the people that show a free consciousness thinking? How come the consensus does change at a point and not another?

Stop nationalism now
When looking on our local media, a strong massage of separation appears constantly. In many ways, it represent quite well the notion growing the western society. It doesn’t really matter where you look, feelings of hatred and fear are broadly manifested. This feeling of hatred to are also broadly manifested on social media, which prove that this symptoms are not a media propaganda but a real sentiment hold by the public.
Interestingly enough, this wave of manifestation have a lot to do with the broken political system we are living in. Without any doubts, our current politician have a lot to do with the new social status of fear hold by many. The fact that the majority of the recent political campaign in Europe has been pushed by the “Immigration problem” subject and the recent president of the United State is constantly speaking on closing boarders, and making “America great again”, are all public acts of hatred and separation pushed by our leaders. (We will ignore the subconscious racist massage of a white leader in America talking on bringing back the the old glory of the state)
Just to explain myself better, in a recent post of mine regarding immigration in Europe, I demonstrated how immigration is actually secretly promoted by the local government and is actually needed for the survival of the economical stability of the continent. (Click here for learn more). From the other side, the current propaganda on the local politician is based on an anti immigration movement, which contradict the necessities of the nation itself. In America it is even more remarkable. The USA is an immigration countries that has managed to arrive to its current status only thanks to global cooperation and trade. Also here, the current propaganda is contradicting the nation interest.
If this is all so clear, why we are living in such a paradox? Well, it is quite easy to explain. The current socio political reality in the western world is broken. Politicians do not promote the well being of their people, the economy is on a verge of a new economical crisis, people are getting more poor and the freedom which once has been our pride has become our imprisonment. All those subjects are not only hard to explain to the people, but since no simple solution exists it is even harder to address it in a political campaign.

That doesn’t change the fact that the real people living in the west are feeling something is wrong. There is general feeling that we are going to collapse very soon and that we are not sure from where it will heat us. This reality create a weak and terrified population, which is vulnerable to manipulation. So what our current politicians are doing? Instead of addressing the real problem, they amplify our fear and nightmares talking about the danger related to change, talking about moving backward to a closed minded nationalist mindset.
It is important for me to remind to you at this point, that the period of nationalism has brought to us Hitler, Stalin, Mussolini, the american civil war, Franco and the events of the atom bombs. Nationalism took the highest amount of human life after the imperialism. There is no pride is that and no excuse for us to go back there. Only 2 generations has passed since those terrifying events which brought humanity to understand we can do better. Less than a hundred year have passed since we berried and lost hundreds of millions of our bother and sister.
It is easy to hate as it demand only ignorance and violent, which doesn’t make it right or justified. It is hard to love and understand, as it require patient, belief and hard work. It is the first time in human history that we are able to create a real prosperous global reality, that will benefit humanity as a whole. It is new, different and demanding. But it can create a better reality for us, our children’s and the planet as a whole. Don’t fall to hatred and separation just because it is easy. We’ve been there already, nothing good come out of it.

How does inflation affect you?
Inflation became part of our reality, but how does it affect you? for many people the economic system we are living in, is part of the undoubted reality not to challenge. It is true that the complexity of the system make it hard to fully understand. As such, challenging its foundation look very hard. Which give the impression to many that taking the time to understand it is as a waste of time. Like many other aspects of our life, sometime it is the subjects that affect us the most that we choose to ignore.
While many people take their time to argue about politics, veganism, corruption and the complexity of life. Economics, is a topic many chose to ignore. Nevertheless, it is one of the most relevant and crucial aspect of any human living in the western society. In a different series of posts, I evolved a conversation about the concept of national debt (click here to read more about it). Our economical structure affect every aspect of our lives. It is reflected in our salary, the cost of living, our capacity to save money and the quality of our communal space. In my personal opinion there is 3 important topic that we, as a society, should understand, talk about and change. Those 3 subjects are: the national debt, the concentration of power by cooperation’s (click here to read more in the subject) and inflation. In this post I will concentrate in inflation.

What inflation is all about? To make it simple, it is a contestant and systematic tool used by our government to devaluate our money. to make it even more simple, it is a rate that measure in % the lost of your worth as a citizen yearly . This is why one of the first lessons in economic class dictate that “a 100 euro today worth more that a 100% in a year from now”. It is true only thanks to inflation. What does that mean about you personally? it means that if you are earning the same wage for 5 years, while you’re getting the same number of money, it will worth less each year. Maybe, it can explain why life become harder and harder.
For the sake of understanding the gravity of the concept even better, lets get into numbers. You can find below some details about the inflation rate is Europe and the USA
