While I try my best to apply my knowledge of Physics and Mathematics in creating the science fiction stories, I admit it's not hard science fiction, with complete theories and razor-sharp details you may expect. The idea behind parallel universes is very simple, if I as a writer can think of a story, my belief is that while it may be a fiction in our universe, it may actually be happening in another universe. My brain has set up some kind of a link with that universe and is reading some incidents happening there. When you read those stories you will find a sense of realism in them which indicates that they are happening in universes not very different from ours. If you are looking for enjoyable new ideas on science fiction and fantasy then this book is for you. But if you are looking for very hard theory based Sci-Fi with zero speculative elements, then this may not be the right one.(less)

Everyone changes over time and holds different viewpoints at different points in their lives. Yes, there are some strong characters in real life but, very strong characters are actually not the norm but an exception. Epic settings may suit some stories, such as when you are describing a religious despot or an armada of spaceships. But those setting may not be relevant if you writing about a poor shepherd staying in a village. But plot twists, they are eternal, if woven well, everyone loves them.(less)

“The part of science that you don’t understand will always look like magic to you.”
Varun Sayal, Time Crawlers

“He stopped eating and cried for days. No one was able to console him. But the sun still rose every-day and brightened the sky. The raindrops still fell, and the crops still bore grain. The world moved on, and he did, too.”
Varun Sayal, Demons of Time: Race to the 7th Sunset

“Genie: Okay, fine. So what are your three wishes?

Marco: Only three? In the stories I heard, the genies granted unlimited wishes.

Genie: Ah, not again. Well, let me clarify this for you. I only provide the “Limited to three wishes” plan, also called the “Classic package”. There were certain gold and platinum plans offered in the past, which granted infinite wishes and where the genie practically stayed with the lamp-finder all their life. But those plans were discontinued around 2,300 years back.”
Varun Sayal, Time Crawlers

“Books were only one type of receptacle where we stored a lot of things we were afraid we might forget. There is nothing magical in them, at all. The magic is only in what books say, how they stitched the patches of the universe together into one garment for us.”
Ray Bradbury, Fahrenheit 451

“I don’t know. We have everything we need to be happy, but we aren’t happy. Something’s missing. I looked around. The only thing I positively knew was gone was the books I’d burned in ten or twelve years. So I thought books might help.”
Ray Bradbury, Fahrenheit 451

“You will never be happy if you continue to search for what happiness consists of. You will never live if you are looking for the meaning of life.”
Albert Camus

“In the depth of winter, I finally learned that within me there lay an invincible summer.”
Albert Camus

“Nobody realizes that some people expend tremendous energy merely to be normal.”
Albert Camus
