Robbie Mahair writes code and books. He also thinks his bio shouldn't be written in the third person, since he's writing it about myself, so I've decided to stop doing that.

By day I'm a software developer. By night (and, if I'm being honest, by very early morning) I write fiction. I'm also a father of four, a husband of one, and frequently quite sleepy. I live in Madison, Wisconsin. I follow Jesus.

Orc Road Trip is my first and only (self-)published novel to date. Planned future works include a sequel to Orc Road Trip as well as a collection of fictional short stories I'm tentatively calling "Stories Not from the Bible", which will explore the stories or characters in the Bible that we are only given a small glimpse of.

“Even the subconscious of a much lesser being is very good at fitting other living creatures into their respective boxes. Is this a potential meal? A potential mate? A potential threat? Almost any subconscious can give reasonably accurate answers to these questions in short order, which is good, because accuracy is important when deciding whether to bite it, flirt with it, or run away from it. That is the kind of thing you don’t want to get wrong.”
