E.M Redshaw grew up in many places, never quite feeling like she belonged—except for in her own wondrous storyworld. She spent her childhood writing and illustrating little fairytales when reality simply couldn’t satisfy her need for magic and adventure.

Em loves traveling and exploring, painting, diving and cooking, and is currently getting her bachelors in film and screenwriting.

She also creates occasional videos on YouTube , writes about her magical adventures and storytelling process at storyworldofem.com and shares little inspirational thoughts from her daily life on her instagram .

“Though her freckled, tawny skin gleamed with sweat and melting snow dripped down her cloak, cold chills skittered up Emery’s spine. She was on fire, even in the coldest winter days, but the blue-clad guards’ presence below made her feel cold.”
E.M Redshaw, A Raveling Night: Embers in the Wind

“The air outside was sharp and the wind fickle, clouds moving across the sky in patters that resembled spilled milk on a kitchen table. That was, if the milk had been left out on the table for three weeks and turned grey.”
E.M Redshaw, A Raveling Night: Embers in the Wind

“Fantasy is hardly an escape from reality. It's a way of understanding it.”
Lloyd Alexander

“We have to continually be jumping off cliffs and developing our wings on the way down.”
Kurt Vonnegut, If This Isn't Nice, What Is?: Advice for the Young

“I can shake off everything as I write; my sorrows disappear, my courage is reborn.”
Anne Frank
