A Deadly Star -– A poem by Kiara Shankar
I might be bright, with all my might, on this majestic starry night.
I bloom with gloom every night, granting wishes on dinner dishes of grilled fishes that come true from slimy dew into wonderful brew.
With my colorful colors and lovely lovers, my very own beautiful cast turns into a remarkable past and as I slowly fade away from my few million years in fusion, with my strong late faith, while churning and burning as hard as bold gold, but very old as it dies in honor mention, of my beloved worshiped master who soon became the milky white Moon.
Now, here my destiny in tiny Cordova, Alaska, will burst loudly like an exploding firecracker, with my big bright supernova, one fine night, when the whole daring human-being generation will be drinking Earth's fresh organic produced grapevine wine, right in front of their own small gifted eyes, to see how grateful I am for my very own supportive gigantic world!
NOTE: Kiara's above “A Deadly Star” poem was published in the national level writing contest book “A Celebration of Poets” (Fall 2018 Edition - published by Creative Communication, Utah, USA).
