Cover Reveal: Falling For My Sister's Ex

 Hello hello!

I'm so excited to tell you all about my new book coming out in March! It's about second chances and falling for the boy next door. It's about tulip fields and small town love. It's about persevering even when things seem bleak.

The book is called Falling For My Sister's Ex.

She's had to force her feelings for him away.
Now that he's no longer with her sister, does she dare take a chance?

Jeremy was the boy next door.
Blaire's first love.
Her first kiss.

After he graduated from college and moved back to Harvest Ranch, his attention shifted to Blaire's twin sister, Caroline, instead. Blaire has been forced to suppress her feelings and watch their relationship grow faster than the tulips in the field her family owns.

But right in the middle of their engagement, they break up.

Caroline claims he cheated.

Jeremy's brother says she did.

Blaire isn't sure who is telling the truth, so she goes right to the source. She meant to remain an impartial seeker of the truth, but talking to Jeremy has always had the ability to scramble her senses. When she finds out what really happened, she's left with a painful decision--

Following her heart means turning against her family's wishes and her own resolve. Can she trust the man she's always loved or is she better off without him?

Fans of second chance romances and love that is constant and true will drink in this clean romance by Catelyn Meadows!

Goldie and the Billionaire Bear

I have *always* loved fairy tales.
A few years ago, I had a completely different series in mind and had the covers designed for it only to realize that the covers weren't the right genre. (I was writing historical. They looked contemporary.)
I was devastated!
I'd just spent good money on three covers I could no longer use.
My mom commented that the girl looked like Goldilocks and the idea for my billionaire fairy tales series waltzed right into my head.

To say that writing Goldie and the Billionaire Bear was fun is an understatement. I LOVED WRITING THIS BOOK. It was such a joy to bring tidbits of the original fairy tale into a contemporary setting.
The three bears are the Bear family, with a Mama Bear, a brother, and Adrian, the heartthrob.
Goldie gets lost in the woods and winds up sleeping in the billionaire's cabin.
Whew. It's dreamy and fantastic.
I adore this review of the book and am so jazzed that readers love this book as much as I do:

The series jumps off from here, then it's Cinderella, Alice in Wonderland, Beauty and the Beast, Rapunzel, Jack and the Beanstalk, and Aladdin.
I'm working on The Frog Prince now, and I have ideas for Snow White.
And I'd like to end the series with my favorite fairy tale... Sleeping Beauty.
Have you started the series? You can binge the books in KU!

Writing Updates!

 Happy New Year, everyone!

I hope you all had a wonderful holiday! I am so excited for my projects coming up in 2021. I have my year planned out, so we'll see how much of it actually goes according to plan. HA!

For my Cortney Pearson name (I write YA fantasy under my own name), I'm reworking Princess of Death. I love the book, but readers have said it's slow to pick up and I don't want that at all! So I've redone the opening and added some new scenes. I'll be getting the edits back this week. WAHOO!

This revamp is also in preparation to release book three in the series. Servant of Magic is coming out in August. It's almost ready for edits at around 65k words. I have several scenes that need more fleshing out but this book is going to be delicious when it's done. I'm excited to do a cover reveal in a few months!

I'm also going to be releasing my first ever non-fiction title, Money-Saving Guide to Self-Publishing. I've gotten some excellent feedback on the book from readers and am so excited to have it out there to help new authors who are just starting out.

For my Catelyn Meadows name, I am currently working on my spring releases. I have two books coming out this spring and they're going to be beautiful and swoony. I'm trying to push myself as an author, to perfect my craft and make books readers can't put down. :D

So excited for 2021 and to see what this year brings!

"A cute Christmas romance perfect for those that want a sweet romance mingled with real Christmas magic!" - a Kindle reviewer

Tips and Tricks for Staying Organized As a Writer

Who am I kidding?

I'm the last person out there to give any kind of tips on being organized. HAHA.

See this picture? This is so not my house, lol!! (picture courtesy of pexels.com)

But in all reality, I've had to learn a lot, because organization doesn't come easily to me. One thing that I've found helpful is having places to put things.

If you need a place to put something? Get one! I used to be really reserved about this. I used to stick my heels in and justify it away, that I didn't want to spend money on things like that.

But last year, before Covid, I went into a friend's house, someone who is incredibly more organized than I am, and I think I just needed to *see* organization in action. Her home was so lovely. It wasn't brand new or fancy. But it was clean and put together. It was organized, and I could tell she had a special knack for it.

Now, granted, this post is about being organized as a writer. She was a homeschool mom, and the things she had organized were homeschool things, but still, I absolutely loved the way everything in her little school room had its own place. Everything was labeled, everything had a little cubby of some sort (in some cases, this was nothing more than those plastic drawer things you can get at Walmart). It was a breath of fresh air, really, and I found I wanted my life to be a little more like that!

So what did I do?

Now, I use a shelf in my office to keep my paperbacks. On this shelf I also store various notebooks I've used to plot my stories. I also got a handy dandy set of plastic drawers from yep, Walmart. I keep papers I need in there.

I also got a cute bin from a garage sale and keep all of my SWAG (author bookmarks, postcards, character cards, book stuff I like to give out at book signings) in that.

Last of all, I found a sturdy case with wheels to keep items I use at book signings and that's parked next to my shelf. Ta da!! Organization!

So wherever you are, start there! Give in and buy that cute caddy or stylish bin or even the plastic drawers. Start with one thing and move on from there. :D

I'd love to hear what your tricks are!

Snowed In at the Cottage Excerpt!

"How do you turn it on?"

"Excuse me?"

Heat slammed into her cheeks. "The radio! I meant the radio." She gestured clumsily toward the old contraption, cursing herself the entire time. How do you turn it on? Come on. Talk about horrible pickup lines.

Boone had mastered the sideways grin. His lips tugged upward along one side, and a dimple peeked out, though it vanished just as quickly as it came. Someone kill her now. The man had a dimple.

"You're welcome to fiddle with it, but the radio never plays. I'm not sure it's even plugged in anymore. Now it's only decoration."

Instead of standing there and risking getting swept under the weight of his gaze, Grace reached for the left knob. She imagined a time long past, a time before television and cell phones, when families would gather to listen to stories being played out on radios just like this one.

"Hard to believe this thing is a hundred years old," he said, his long fingers accompanying Grace's to turn the other knob.

"Yeah," she said, not really hearing what he said. She could only focus on his hand and how close it was to hers. Good King Wenceslas, he was unraveling her a thread at a time and they'd only just met.

Snowed In at the Cottage Release Party and Giveaway!

So last year during December, I took my car through a car wash.

I was jamming out to Christmas tunes.

And an idea struck. What if there was a magical radio from Santa Claus himself that made whatever the listeners hearing come true?

THEN! I got the idea for "Snowed in at the Cottage." For a whole series of books, actually, where people staying at an inn for Christmas hear Santa's radio play and it starts to wreak havoc on their love lives and acts as a matchmaker!

A musical, matchmaking radio? YES PLEASE.

I'm so excited to announce this new book coming out Monday, November 9, 2020.

And I'm even more excited to be hosting a giveaway event on Goodreads.

You can enter to win one of TWO autographed copies of the book OR a $10 Amazon gift card! So please, come join in on the fun and enter to win!

Aaliyah and the Billionaire's Lamp is OUT NOW!

An heiress. An arranged marriage. And a little bit of luck.
I'm so excited--I decided to release Aaliyah and the Billionaire's Lamp EARLY!!!This isn't your typical Aladdin story. There is an arranged marriage. There is a billionaire. But there's also his assistant, who happens to have a lucky charm lamp. When he offers that lamp to Aaliyah, her luck changes in ways she never imagined. Soon, she has to realize if it's really the lamp giving her luck, or if she can make her own luck to be with the man she loves. Taking a contemporary twist on Aladdin, where the princess character gets the lamp instead of Aladdin himself, was SO MUCH FUN to write. It's free in KU, and I'd love to know what you think of the story!!  Read Aaliyah and the Billionaire's Lamp FREE in KU!
