MERCILESS KING WINS
The Merciless King of Moore High has been awarded the Gold medal for YA by the Moonbeam Awards & a blue ribbon by the Bulletin of the Center for Children's Books.
It means a lot to have this extremely wild story, about every adult morphing into a corpse-dragon and the surviving kids turning their schools into castles with competing Kings and Queens, recognized and validated.
It's been an uphill struggle trying to get the word out about this book. If you enjoyed it, tell a friend, tell an enemy, request it at the library, start a podcast-- let somebody know.
And take care of yourself out there.

Hard-partying Moore builds a neo-feudal society where everyone goes out and slays the "dragons" together.
Prestigious magnet school Jefferson lives in the dark, sending out their athletes to scavenge canned food while their student council debates how to find help.
When the student council secretary is dragged out of school in an assassination attempt, she struggles to fit in at Moore. She must learn to kill the "dragons", take magical potions, find a room to live in. . . and figure out what Moore's merciless King is hiding from her.
