Howdy, people!

Many of you know that I've been having my knees operated on a lot lately. Okay, so just twice, but that's still a lot. :-) To be honest, it's really been a very miserable experience.

My final surgery was this past Friday, December 12. Per doctor orders (and pain levels!) I won't be able to walk for three weeks, which makes for a long and frustrating recovery. I'm especially helpless because my other knee still hasn't recovered from my last surgery, and I'm really struggling with getting around the house. On top of all of this, last Wednesday, my toddler and I came down with a virus. (Congestion, fevers, etc.)

We'd arranged to have family and neighbors come in to help... but as people have heard that we're sick, they've been backing out. I totally and completely understand why - no one wants to risk getting sick right before Christmas. :-( But unfortunately, getting sick doesn't equal walking. If anything, I'm needing more help now than I was previously. Honest, it doesn't. So, not only are we sick here, but I still can't even get up in the morning to get my toddler out of bed.

Here's where my plea for help comes in. My husband works really far away, very early in the morning. My toddler wakes up at 6:30am. My mom can't get to my place until 10:00am, which leaves me, an un-walking adult, alone with a two-year-old who is very insecure and not feeling well and doesn't want to leave her mommy. :-(
