Are you ready to be Bad for a Weekend?

Bad for a Weekend is part of the Blurred Lines series, which is a collection of books written by multiple authors with only one thing in common... each story blurs the line between right and wrong.

In BFAW, Owen is hired to protect the 18-year-old daughter of a famous movie star, Baylor. I'm sure you can see where this is going.

If you love forbidden, age gap bodyguard romances, you will SWOON for this one. It has some suspense, a lot of angst, and of course, enough spice to melt your eyeballs. Be sure to check my website for a little of content warnings.

Bad for a Weekend releases on November 23, 2022 and you can preorder it now!

Biker Romance

There's something about a bad boy, am I right? And there's no badder of a boy than a member of a 1%er biker club.

Ever since I read my very dark romance, I was hooked. For a very boring mom of three, the themes were thrilling and a shock to my system in the very best way.

If I'm being honest, my biker books have been my favorite to write. There are no rules, no boundaries, and my imagination can run absolutely wild.

I dipped a little bit in the darker world of writing with Conversion but it wasn't until I dove into my Royal Bastards series that my dark heart started shining through.

Now I'm coming up on three books with the release of Bexley's Biker and I don't think I could stop if I wanted to. Each book in this series stands alone, something that was important to me because I have a terrible memory, so reading an incomplete series is impossible.

If you're looking for a book series similar to Sons of Anarchy but with a whole lot more spice and blood, give The Royal Bastards: Reno, NV a try. My boys won't let you down.

XOXO,

Get off our dicks!

Hello, thirsty readers!

Every so often, there's some sort attack on the romance genre on social media. I see it all the time and mostly, brush it off. Usually it's from someone who hasn't read the genre and is judging from a place of ignorance.

But this last attack irked me. It was done on Tiktok by a man demanding to know why us “weirdos” are so loud about the books we read. What he doesn't understand is that our books empower us, entertain us, and give us escapism from daily life.

He called our books porn, and while some authors do identify as “lady porn” authors and that's okay too, I think the vast majority of us consider ourselves romantic storytellers with the sex being simply part of our stories.

His goal was to shame us, but instead he made himself look judgmental and wholly undesirable to every woman who saw his video.

I guess what I'm trying to say is, read what you want, like the books you like, and know you have a whole community backing you up.

His post gave me the inspiration to make a sticker that I'll toss in all my signed paperback orders, but so many people loved it, they wanted a way to purchase is alone. So, new to my merch store is the option above!

And speaking of reading whatever books we want, Doctor Daddy is NOW LIVE!

Two Year Publiversary

Two years ago I released my very first book, Vindicated.

But in order to know how I got here, I have to tell you a little bit about where I was before I hit publish.

Twelve years ago, I had just had my second baby and quickly realized that I wasn't feeling like myself anymore.

I had migraines and body aches that were nearly crippling. I was getting worse and worse. I had severe spasms in my shoulders, arms, and legs. So much so that I'd taken to using a cane to walk.

It ultimately took me six years to figure out what was going on with me. I went to doctor after doctor, everyone telling me they had no idea what was going on.

Then I saw a doctor who took the time to run tests and really dive into my case. I was ultimately diagnosed with chronic migraines, rheumatoid arthritis, and fibromyalgia.

As with any diagnosis, it took time to get medication right and the process is exhausting. I became depressed. I wasn't able to take care of myself or my family. That's when I picked up a book. The escapism had me addicted and for years I'd read a book or even sometimes two, a day.

I became involved in bookish groups on Facebook and ended up joining a group of girls for a book blog. It was fun and since it was virtual, it didn't require any of my precious energy.

Blogging progressed into doing virtual PA work for some big name authors, one of whom was K Webster. We became instant best friends. She was there for me while I tried medication after medication and when that failed, a move from the Seattle area to a dryer climate.

That move saved my life. I no longer needed my cane and my energy returned. I had a second chance at life.

I learned all about self-publishing through K Webster and somehow the idea formed that maybe I could write my own book.

I had tried to write books in the past but never made it beyond a few chapters before I gave up. But this time I knew more and I was determined. That's how Vindicated was born.

Since that time, I've released 11 books, been part of a few anthologies, and I built a career for myself. It's so much work, harder than any job I've ever had. But it's also the most rewarding. When a reader reaches out to tell me my words meant something to them, it's a high like I've never felt.

My point with this blog post is that you're never too old to chase your dreams (I was forty when I released Vindicated). And with my disabilities, it only makes my successes that much sweeter.

I recently earned the title of USA Today Best-Selling author, what goal have you met despite your disability or age?

Sometimes you just need a break...

After having an occipital nerve ablation three weeks ago, I needed a break. So we packed up and headed to our property in northern California. It's so peaceful and quiet out there with lots of ponds and lakes to discover. It was a much needed break from reality.

Where do you go or what do you do when you need to clear your head?

In other news, my book, Conversion was translated to Hebrew and released last week! Here's the full wrap cover!

I can't tell you how exciting it is to see my books translated to another language. Even more, readers have already reached out to tell me how much they are loving it! Check out this reel from @bookprincess63 below!

So, what's next?

All of you who wanted to read Doctor Daddy but missed out on the Knocked Up Anthology will be happy to know I'll be releasing Doctor Daddy as a standalone in September! Preorder and cover reveal coming soon!

I'm also typing away at Bexley's Biker. The further I dive into the Royal Bastards, the better these stories get. If you haven't started this series yet, NOW'S THE TIME! Click here to start with Birdie's Biker!

XOXO,

Surprise! You're a daddy!

The Knocked Up Anthology has been in the works for a long time and it's FINALLY live!

When thinking about what type of story I wanted to write within the secret baby trope, I knew I wanted to make it unconventional. That's how I ended up writing a gay romance secret baby. And of course, if I'm writing gay romance, I'm also making it part of the Brigs Ferry Bay series because it's my favorite space to write in.

So in my story, Doctor Daddy, you'll see Dr. Lance Miller get his much deserved happy ever after with the swoon-worthy Boaz Dixon.

This anthology is only .99 during release week, so now's the time to grab it.

There's also a $100 Amazon Gift Card Giveaway up to celebrate the release. You can enter that here.

So many amazing authors. So many amazing stories. All the proceeds are going directly to charity. What are you waiting for?

Knocked Up: A Secret Baby Romance Collection

When I was asked to be in an anthology with the "secret baby" trope, I knew instantly what I wanted to do... secret baby but with a Brigs Ferry Bay twist. That's how Doctor Daddy was born.

If you've read any of my Brigs Ferry Bay books, then you've met Dr. Lance Miller, who is the main character in Doctor Daddy. In this story, he has just walked away from his marriage to a woman after having a sudden realization for why his life has been so hard... he's gay. Now he's ready to live his life for himself and explore this side of himself he's been suppressing.

At least that was plan until he gets a phone call that changes everything... his ex-wife died during childbirth and the baby is his.

Now all his best laid plans are ruined and even more than that, he has no idea what to do with a baby.

In comes Boaz Dixon, a nurse at the hospital Lance works at. What starts out as neighborly concern for the doctor quickly becomes more and when I tell you these men are FIRE, what I mean is, their love is electric.

This anthology is live. on June 15 and is only .99 to preorder! After the 15th, the price goes up so grab it now!

Return to Brigs Ferry Bay in Leif's Serenity!

The next standalone in the Brigs Ferry Bay series, Leif's Serenity, is LIVE!

Leif, a new character to the series, was kicked out of his house after his parents learned he was gay. Ever since, he's been traveling the world as a blogger.

Fernando, who we met in Kian's Focus, has a very opposite lifestyle. His Mexican American family opened a diner in Brigs Ferry Bay before he was born and they haven't left since.

If you've read any of my books, then you've noticed most are opposites attract. There's something so interesting about taking two characters who have no business being together and figuring out a way to make them work. Next to age gap, it's my favorite trope!

I had so much fun incorporating logos for Fernando's diner and the one seen above for Leif's blog, Leif in Wanderlust. The Cosmic Bear lube was another fun addition. While writing a steamy scene, I wanted to introduce Leif's playful personality and what better way to do that than by adding glow in the dark lube! As it turns out, there is only one company who makes such a product and they were completely sold out when I went to order some for promotional reasons. After reaching out to the company, I was finally able to get my hands on some and I have to say, it's the cutest little honey bear.

A lot of readers have asked if they need to start with book 1 in the series, Sheriff's Secret by K Webster. While you will get the full experience by starting at the beginning, it's not necessary. The stories are interconnected but can absolutely be read on their own.

Ready to give this one a read? Head over to the books tab at the top of this page and click the link for Leif's Serenity. Happy reading!
