Dreamy new covers

Just wanted everyone to know I am reissuing the Husband Hunters Club series. These were the final books I wrote for Avon, and I have them back now. The new covers are dreamy, just gorgeous, and I am so pleased with them. The stories are unchanged.

At the time I wrote five books in the series, and later on a novella that is a prequel telling the story of Miss Debenham, whose school the girls attended.

You will be able to find them all as ebooks on whichever platform you prefer. I'm thinking of paperbacks next year.

Happy Reading!

Disgraceful Duchesses

Hi Everyone,

Sorry about the gap in my blogs. I've been working hard, I promise, but there have been quite a few family issues too. I'm sure everyone has their problems and I'm not alone.

I am just about to begin editing my last novella in the Dragonblade steamy Regency series, Disgraceful Duchesses. It has been a pleasure writing for them, and I will have some exciting future news soon.

The Duchesses are three sisters who marry Dukes, but it is not a happy situation for any of them. Their stories are actually about what happens to them once they are widowed, and how they chase after their happiness.

The first book is the story of Catherine, the eldest sister, who is trapped in a bleak northern castle by the terms of her husband's will. On her way home she is snowed in at an inn, and there she meets Sebastian, and they embark on a torrid affair. But is Sebastian seducing the duchess, or is she seducing him?

The second book is about Ellis, the youngest sister, who is on the run from her dead husband's cousin. She takes shelter with Owen, an artist of saucey drawings, who just happens to be in need of a model. Is Ellis a temptation too hard for him to resist?

And finally, book three is the story of Sophia, the middle sister, who finds herself caught up in the web of lies her late husband spun. Nicholas Blake, a man she considers her enemy, begs her for a favour. An old friend is in danger and only she can help. Soon, Sophia discovers that seducing your enemy can have a great many benefits.

The books are available on Amazon Kindle, and also in paperback at Barnes & Noble.

Until next time!

Finally!

It has been a while. I don't seem to be very good at blogging, although I try to keep my website up to date. You can find me here https://sara-bennett.com/
and I also have a Newsletter you can sign up to. I send out the newsletter every month, or more often if I have something exciting to tell everyone.

I am currently writing the last novella in the second series of Mockingbird Square. It's a good feeling to be nearly done. I have enjoyed writing them, and the continuing romance between Deb and Toby has been fun. In the last book they get their HEA.

If you have signed up to my Newsletter you will know I am also writing a Regency Romance series for a traditional publisher. I've written the first book and will be starting on the second next month. I still can't say too much, but hoping soon I will have covers and details to share.

In the meantime stay safe and happy reading :)

Has it really been that long!?

I meant to write this blog regularly but it looks like that didn't happen. With the situation in the world at the moment, I have been distracted.

I have plans for a new Mockingbird Square series of novellas, and the second book in the Pendleton Manor series is in rough draft. I also have an idea for another series, but I'll leave that until it is closer to being written.

Today I finished editing a short novella called A Suitable Gentleman. This was a story in the Mammoth Book of Regency Romance, published in 2010, and over the years I have given it away as a freebie in my newsletter. Now it has a new cover and has been rewritten and re-edited, so I hope you will enjoy it. It should be on sale in the next day or two for 99cents USD through Amazon, Kobo, Apple, Barnes & Noble and all other ebook stores.

I hope to have more to say soon, and in the meantime Happy Reading and Stay Safe!

Wishing everyone a safe and happy Holiday Season

This has been a very busy year! In some ways a sad year but also a turning point in my life. I'm looking forward to 2020 and hope to get more books written and published. First up I want to create a box set for Mockingbird Square, and write another novella. Look out for that!

Mainly I want to thank all my readers for their support over 2019. Thank you so much!

Best Wishes for the Holiday Season, however you celebrate it!

Well the book is out and...

The reviews are mixed. Mostly good but a few that make me wonder if it's worthwhile. Then I remind myself that Meant to Be was never going to please everyone. It's not a sweet, hearts and flowers Regency, it's a bit dark and quite the emotional roller coaster.

The hero, Harry, can at times be less than heroic, but he is a man of his times and his upbringing. He strives to be better and he succeeds at the end. I think that makes him a real hero.

The heroine, Sophy, has loved him all her life, and even when things go awry, believes in him despite the evidence. When her heart is broken, she remakes herself into a stronger and more resilient woman.

There's definitely a HEA.

I've never written books that conform entirely to the market, and I can't seem to help that. I delve into difficult areas. I like to push a few boundaries. My Evie North books are much darker than my Sara Bennett books. My Sara Mackenzie books also touch on difficult subjects.

Just want to say a big thank you to those who loved Meant to Be, and I will be writing the next two books in the series. Against All Reason should be out early next year. Again not your typical Regency, so you have been warned!

Meant To Be

My new book, Meant To Be, is up for pre order. There was a little bit of a hitch when I over estimated my capacity to get it ready and edited and formatted by a certain date, but all good now. I have that problem a lot. My husband calls it my Super Woman issue, where I think I can do twenty things in under five minutes. Need to watch that lol.

Meant To Be is the first book in my Regency series called Pendleton Manor. This is the story of Sophy and Harry, and their love for each other, and how they were broken apart, and how they found their way back to each other. Well of course they did! There has to be a HEA.

I'll be talking more about the book the closer it comes to publication, and working on the second one. So excited to be able to show you the cover. If you go to my website you can see it there! https://www.goodreads.com/author/show...

Happy reading everyone!

Pendleton Manor

Pendleton Manor is the working title for my next trilogy.

Right now I'm writing the first book. I've done the first draft, which is where I put my story down and the characters and the plot. I'm not much of a plotter but I've learned I need to have some ideas before I start work or chaos follows!

Now I am on the second draft, which is where I make certain the dates are right, and the characters don't suddenly change names or eye colour, but I am also working on the story as a whole. Pulling it together, weaving in the plot threads, making sure it has a powerful enough emotion punch.

The third draft will be for smoothing out the rough edges and getting the book ready for the first edit, and I hope to be doing that in May.

I'll share a snippet of the story next time, but for now, back to work.

What you need to know...

I know a lot of romance readers do NOT like books where there is cheating. I understand that. And yes, technically, my latest book Reckless has cheating in it. Dominic Frampton, the Earl of Monkstead is already married when he decides to save Margaret Willoughby from her miserable future.

But nothing is ever black and white, and when you read the book (I hope you do!) you will discover that Dominic's wife is more of a child than a grown woman. Sorry, spoiler there, but there's a great deal more to the story. I enjoyed turning Dominic's unhappy marriage into a relationship that changed him into a better man. Made him believe in happy endings. He just never expected to find one for himself!

If you enjoy Reckless then you can read an Exclusive Bonus Epilogue. Sign up to my Newsletter via my Facebook page to receive the link when I send it in a week or so. https://www.facebook.com/SARA-BENNETT... My website is currently undergoing a renovation.

Happy Reading!

Reckless is up for Pre Order!

Reckless is up for Pre Order!!

I've chosen 29 January 2019 as the publishing date. Although it would have been nice to have it ready earlier it just couldn't happen. Life stepped in and conspired against me once again. That said, I really enjoyed writing this book. It does cover some tricky themes, such as how does an unhappily married man find happiness with the love of his life in Regency society, where such a partnership would be considered scandalous. Well, you'll have to read the book to make up your own minds.

Margaret Willoughby is a vicar's daughter, destined for a miserable future, and Dominic Frampton, the Earl of Monkstead wants to give her a happy ending. With himself. Don't worry, he does manage it, in the end. Remember Mockingbird Square is a series about Second Chances.

I'm looking at a new series for 2019. Some planning to do and thinking, and of course writing!

Thank you for following me and reading my books!
