Today I Learned and Upcoming Book Update 23

What’s going on, Goodreads!

Today I learned the dish “tapenade” is usually made with capers/anchovies/olives/olive oil and a “garret” is a room on the top floor of a house that is under a gabled roof (a garret can be a synonym for an attic). Also, chlorine is in a group of elements called halogens and chlorine was going to be originally called “halogen”, but was called “chlorine” instead, so the name of all the elements chlorine was placed in became known as halogens.

In the matter of my upcoming book, I’ve finished the last section I was working on and have created the protagonist for the next section I’m currentlyworking on. The list of characters in this section keeps increasing, so I’ll have a complete cast tomorrow.

Thanks so much for reading and have a good day!

What’s going on, Goodreads!

Today I learned the “English Horn” musical instrument is also referred to by its French name which is “Cor Anglais”. Also, the corner pieces in chess are called rooks and “rook” is a word that comes from the Persian word “rokh” that means chariot. Lastly, it has been said that the word “vaudeville” comes from the poets known as Vau de Vire who lived in the Vire valley and The Vire is a river that flows through Normandy, France.

Pertaining to my upcoming book, I’m halfway through the section I’m working on and will write up to the climax tomorrow! My book’s moving along and I’m very pleased!

Thanks so much for reading and have a good day!
