Last Call for Crime Fiction Workshop!

For L.A. crime writers, I will be leading a writers workshop this Sunday called "The Spine of Crime:Structure and the Crime Story" at The Writing Pad West.

In this one day class, I'll help you master the crucial elements of the three major types of crime story: mystery/ detective, crime, and thriller. Through fun in-class exercises, you’ll learn how to look beyond the three-act structure to easily create a character-and-theme driven approach to your plot. I will also cover the hybrid nature of many crime stories, and how to make your story multi-layered. By the end of the class, you'll walk away with a genre specific mini outline for your story and the beginnings of your next page turner. Magnifying glass not included.

Sunday, March 10, 2013
2:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Cost: $80 (includes snacks and tea)
Location: Writing Pad West
