“Charles, if there’s one thing I’ve learned in my time on this earth, there is no justice. It’s something people aspire to, sure enough, but our hearts and our heads are forever locked in a battle seeking out the true meaning of right and wrong, because for one fella it means one thing and to another fella it means something entirely different.”
Dianna Rostad, You Belong Here Now

“And that’s what happens when men try to work things out.”
Dianna Rostad, You Belong Here Now

“Everything is covered in dirt and dust here.”

“You haven’t seen real dirt. Dirt is the gunk that smells like death itself, builds up on the sides of the street. Nothing can clean it off. That under your boot is soil. Everything good on this earth is made from it or made clean by it.”
