And we're off...
My first book got published this week. It's absolutely insane to think that I am now officially a published author. I've been so afraid to put my work out there for so long that this feels incredibly surreal. What's even more surprising to me is that In the Grasp is right on track to release December 3, 2020, and Will and Gina's story, Across the Middle, is almost entirely plotted out. I expect to have the first draft done by the end of the month.
It's so interesting to me how once you put your work out there, it no longer feels like it's yours. It is, but it isn't. You wrote it, it's your brainchild, but now it belongs to the reader. Do they love the characters as much as you do? Do they love the story? Do they wish there was more? When I'm reading, I can always tell if a book really resonated with me by how I feel when I finish it. Do I want more? I hope that those who read my book find themselves answering yes to that question.
I'm so excited to share this series with the world. As I begin plotting each book, my heart just fills with so much love for these characters (for so many different reasons). I love the writing process and how sometimes the most intense scenes happen without me even planning them. I hope all my future readers end up loving these couples as much as I do. :)
