New Book Coming!!
Told through a poetic lens, I Still Have Love to Give is a first-person account of heartbreak and trying to find love in a situationship society.
With over 50 poems and helpful resources such as a guide to creating your own definition of love, a checklist to help you qualify a potential partner, advice for resisting unhealthy attachments, and the ultimate survival guide "From Heartbreak to Hope," this collection is like a wine night with your bestie—raw, emotional, conversational, inspirational, and helpful.
🤍
So, I had no intention of writing a poetry collection to publish, but poetry has always been an outlet for me to process my emotions. It was an outlet I turned to while going through my divorce. Little did I know, those poems (at least the few I've included) were the beginning of this collection before I knew it would exist.
Throughout the first half of this year, I put my professional writing to the side and focused on my mental health. I wrote about a lot of things, a lot of trauma. But, when it came down to it, I realized the majority of what I'd written was actually about heartbreak, trying to open my heart again, and the thought of new love. Accompanying my poems with lessons I've learned in therapy and in reflecting on my past, I felt this collection was worth sharing.
It's nerve-wracking and scary for me to share this with you. But I truly believe the work here is not only beautiful and creative but impactful, helpful, and hopefully, inspirational.
What made me finally decide to publish this?
I thought to myself, if I had a daughter, I'd want her to have this. Because so much of the heartbreak I've endured was bred from naivety, inexperience, and a desperation for love without a clear understanding of what love was and perhaps, most of all, the understanding that love is not enough to sustain a healthy relationship.
"There's so much we forgot. So much we were never taught." - We Were Too Young
This collection is divided into three sections: We Were Too Young, Just Another Heartbreak Story, and I Still Have Love to Give each detailing different phases in my healing journey, each followed up by my personal commentary and reflection.
Over the next few months, I'll share more details but, for now, here's the nitty gritty.
RELEASE DATE: January 4, 2024
The ebook is available for preorder now on Amazon.
Be sure to follow me on Amazon for a release day notification.
***There will be no print preorder, so you'll have to wait to order those copies until January. The ebook will NOT be enrolled in KU.

Mine to Protect is coming on December 1st
My newest release, Mine to Protect, is officially available for preorder on Amazon and will be released on December 1st.
If you haven't already, add to your Goodreads shelf so more people can discover it.
I am truly obsessed with this book. I think every author goes through many phases of love and hate with their novels throughout the writing process. I'm nearly finished now with only six chapters left to write and the other day, I had a moment. I fell in love with my book.
I have this internal checklist of what a book should have.
1. A compelling plot
2. Complex characters who grow
3. A realistic connection between the love interests
4. A good balance of suspense and action
5. A certain amount of steam + a HEA
And, let me tell you, Mine to Protect has every bit of it.
OFFICIAL DESCRIPTION:
Alister Amato is rich, powerful, and feared by all who know the truth. He’s the Blood King, a mafia boss with a lust for blood and an infinite reach. Everything in me screams I should stay away. But when my Organized Crime Task Force is called to investigate the slaughter of a rival criminal syndicate, I know that isn’t an option. The way the men were killed is something I’ve only seen once before—eighteen years ago when my mother was murdered and I was orphaned. I don’t know how my mother wound up in the clutches of the mafia. But, after all this time, I will stop at nothing to discover the truth. Even if it means aligning myself with the dangerous, mysterious, and undeniably handsome, Blood King.
They call me King, but I am nothing but a prisoner. The world of darkness I belong to has stolen everything from me—my mother, my sister, my happiness, my freedom. Most of all, it has stolen my ability to love. If it weren’t for my sister, Sophia, I would walk away from the throne I never wanted and let New Orleans burn. But even that would not set me free. My name and my blood have placed a target on my back and cursed anyone who stands beside me to the same fate. Which is why when FBI agent Ariana Valentine weasels her way into my life and heart, I do everything I can not to fall for her. My love is a death sentence. And, after everything this world has taken from me, I won’t let it take her too. Even if it means I have to walk away from the only woman I’ve ever allowed myself to love.
--
Mine to Protect is a dual POV, standalone, mafia romance set in glamourous yet dangerous New Orleans. It features the Italian mafia, is a forbidden love, slow burn, enemies to lovers romance with plenty of secrets to be revealed.
Will you be reading? Mark your calendars for December 1st.

The Truth About Unspeakable Things is Recognized as a Top Title
I've always known The Truth About Unspeakable Things is a genre-bending/blending book. It is anchored in contemporary conflict most often experienced by females as Emma tries to overcome the emotional torment of being sexually assaulted. Julian, Emma's new neighbor, opens Emma's heart to the possibility of love after trauma and instills a sense of hope in her that she felt she'd lost forever. This hope sends her on a quest for justice. As Emma comes face to face with her ex, the man who assaulted her, things become more complicated and dangerous than Emma ever could've imagined. And thus, the suspense takes over, plummeting Emma into a dark and dangerous side of New Orleans she never knew existed.
This novel is filled with unspeakable truths that are realistic, haunting, and yet still unexpected and seemingly otherworldly. But, in fact, the events that take place in this novel are part of our world. Are instances elevated due to the fictional nature of the novel? Yes. But the core of the issue--violence against women--still rings true.
The more I think about this book, the prouder I am that I wrote it. Today, I share with you the complexity of The Truth About Unspeakable Things as it is recognized for its third and final award this year.
Chanticleer Book Reviews has recognized the complex, genre-blending nature of my debut, long-listing it for three awards.
The Somerset Award for Literary and Contemporary Fiction (Women's Fiction + Family Themes)
The Chatelaine Award for Romantic Fiction (Romantic Adventure & Suspense)
The Clue Award for Mystery, Thriller, and Suspense Fiction (Suspense/ Thriller)
Judging continues to Short-List, Semi-Finalists, Finalists, and more as the CIBAs are narrowed down. Final results will be announced in the Spring of 2022. But truly, I could not be happier with these results. I'm so happy all the elements of this story are being recognized.
Thank you to everyone who has reviewed my novel on Goodreads and/or Amazon. If you've read it and loved it and haven't posted a review yet, please do so. Every review, just like every award, helps me reach new readers!

Bound by the Unspeakable is Coming!
Hi everyone! It's been a while since I've updated my blog here and for good reason. I've been working on a sequel to The Truth About Unspeakable Things.
After seven months of writing and revisions, today I officially sent my second book, Bound by the Unspeakable, to my copyeditor.
I'm so excited to bring you this second book as Emma's journey concludes in the thrilling, investigation-heavy sequel to The Truth About Unspeakable Things.
What can you expect?
More information on the brotherhood and a face-off of epic proportions. Some gruesome scenes, a dark vibe, and plenty of action. All of this is laced with Emma's internal debates on morality as she ventures deeper and deeper into the dark side of New Orleans.
What readers are saying?
Bound by the Unspeakable is a "spine-tingling thriller, gripping suspense story that will make you hold your breath from start to finish! It will make you rethink everything about dark, vile, and underground investigation. A must-read for thriller-seeking and suspense-loving readers!"
When can you expect it?
I'm shooting for a May/ June 2022 release. I'll be sure to post here as well as on my social media platforms when the book is available for preorder. I hope you'll check it out.

I JUST GOT INVITED!!!
Yesterday, I got invited to my very first book club by a group of ladies who will be reading 𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘛𝘳𝘶𝘵𝘩 𝘈𝘣𝘰𝘶𝘵 𝘜𝘯𝘴𝘱𝘦𝘢𝘬𝘢𝘣𝘭𝘦 𝘛𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨𝘴. I'm so excited to attend, listen to other women's perceptions of my book, and offer a little commentary when they ask. There are many discussion-worthy topics presented in 𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘛𝘳𝘶𝘵𝘩 𝘈𝘣𝘰𝘶𝘵 𝘜𝘯𝘴𝘱𝘦𝘢𝘬𝘢𝘣𝘭𝘦 𝘛𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨𝘴 and I can't wait to hear the questions they have for me.
While we're here, do you have a question? What was the thing that stuck with you most from 𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘛𝘳𝘶𝘵𝘩 𝘈𝘣𝘰𝘶𝘵 𝘜𝘯𝘴𝘱𝘦𝘢𝘬𝘢𝘣𝘭𝘦 𝘛𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨𝘴?

Favorite lines from 𝙏𝙝𝙚 𝙏𝙧𝙪𝙩𝙝 𝘼𝙗𝙤𝙪𝙩 𝙐𝙣𝙨𝙥𝙚𝙖𝙠𝙖𝙗𝙡𝙚 𝙏ᵥ

This line is another one of my favorites from 𝙏𝙝𝙚 𝙏𝙧𝙪𝙩𝙝 𝘼𝙗𝙤𝙪𝙩 𝙐𝙣𝙨𝙥𝙚𝙖𝙠𝙖𝙗𝙡𝙚 𝙏𝙝𝙞𝙣𝙜𝙨. Sometimes we expect things from others that we know we can never give ourselves. And, sometimes people expect more from us than they are able to give. Sometimes things fall apart, not because the love isn't there, but because the love isn't balanced.
