How Do I Experience Divine Intervention?
1 Chronicle 4:10 KJV
10 And Jabez called on the God of Israel, saying, Oh that thou wouldest bless me indeed, and enlarge my coast, and that thine hand might be with me, and that thou wouldest keep me from evil, that it may not grieve me! And God granted him that which he requested.

Are you experiencing a setback in your work? Is your life marked with a bitter experience? Jabez is a character in the bible who had felt pain, but God intervened and turned his case around. How did He get the divine intervention? Let us consider the steps he took that moved him from curses to blessing, from pain to gain, from misery to glory. We can draw the following lessons from Jabez life:
1. Jabez was more honorable than his brethren. The first step necessary for you to experience divine intervention is to be in the image and likeness of God. Except you are born again (regenerated), you cannot access God. Therefore, without God, there is no divine intervention "But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name" (John 1:12)
2. Jabez took God's promises to heart. God had said in Genesis 1:28, "Be fertile, increase in number, fill the earth, and be its master. Rule the fish in the sea, the birds in the sky, and all the animals that crawl on the earth."
He also remembered that God had said, "… for I will not leave thee..." (Gen 28:15). He kept God's Word of promise in his heart. We must do the same. Set in your heart as a seal the word of God's promises to you.
3. He prayed. He took God's Word of promise to Him in prayer. He never gave God rest but was always praying to God about the promises he received from God. We cannot rest with the promises of God in our hearts. We must labor with the promises of God in prayer until we see the manifestation of those promises. Scripture says, "And give him no rest, till He establishes, and till he makes Jerusalem a praise in the earth." (Isaiah 62:7).
We need to emulate Jabez if we desire to experience divine intervention in every area of our life. Take all of God's promises, meditate on them till they take root in your sub-consciousness. Then take it to God in prayer with desperation for an answer. God will surely answer you.

Prayer: Heavenly Father, bless me and make me a channel of blessing and let your presence abide with me. Take away misery from my life and fill me with abundant life.
