It needs to happen and it needs to happen now. Like I have never wanted two characters to be together more than these two. I NEED it to happen. They're so perfect for one another and the princess is just so... BLAH. There is nothing about her that strikes me, nothing that goes "sure you're enough for Jaron" because guess what honey.... YOU'RE NOT.
You are NOTHING compared to him and Imogen has you by so many worlds that you might as well not exist. Learn your place you stupid princess.

-Now that my Jamogen rant is over-

I thought that the Runaway King was a perfect second book!

I loved the fact that Jaron's character didn't change or become lax just because he was king. He was his same foolish So crazy it just might work self. and ya know what... he proved that no matter what you do if you set your mind to it you can do anything. I love him so much the book could be absolutely awful, but if I had Jaron, it would be worth the read.

His humor didn't fail to meet expectations but exceeded them. He was is arrogant, innovative, short-tempered, misdirecting without ever actually lying, good hearted Jaron. He is literally everything one wants in a male lead character and so much more!

Bravo Nielsen, truly... Bravo on one amazing character.

I missed Mott. We just didn't get enough of him. If I had to choose a second favorite it would be him. My love for Mott is as strong as my need for Jamogen. Since Jaron is clearly Imogens I will gladly settle for tall dark and muscular... him being bald isn't even an issue. I applaud him for not truly assaulting Jaron. Like even though Jaron would let him and know matter of factly that he deserved it. He is the definition of loyal. And I would like to be loyal to him. -ok-

The tension in this book was real. At every turn it truly seemed like there was no way out. Yet again, just like in the False Prince... you know NOTHING until Nielsen wanted you to know it. It was a wonderful book. I felt like some parts were a bit slow but it was nothing that didn't pass over quickly and they were parts that had to happen. They enhanced the plot so it made them forgivable. Nielsen truly has a way of captivating her audience and keep their attention. Even when it would be boring or a significant part of the book (or a heavy part of the book) she keeps it light without destroying the intensity of it.

It was truly and enjoyable book. I can't wait to read more of Jaron and his comrades. And yes, I will be pushing as hard as I can for Jamogen! ...more "
