HAPPY BACK TO SCHOOL!

Okay, maybe “happy” isn’t exactly the right word. As a kid, I used to fight it every September, even though – as an only child – I really looked forward to school so I could be surrounded by other people again.

Nowadays, my favorite part of fall is getting back to my school visits. I did my first one when I was fourteen, so this has been part of my life forever. It was an amazing “Summer of Snoop” but it’s September now, time to hit the road. Who knows – maybe I’ll be coming to your school, or m...

HYPERGIFTED IS COMING ON FEBRUARY 3RD!

Does this robot look familiar?

I’m so thrilled to spread the news about HYPERGIFTED, the third book in the series that began with UNGIFTED and SUPERGIFTED, coming in February.

The last thing he wants is to go from middle school straight into college. Why can’t his life just be normal?

At least Wilderton...

SNOOP IS A NY TIMES BESTSELLER

I’m super-pumped to report that SNOOP is an instant NY Times and Indie bestseller! Amazing to hear that readers are embracing this one so soon!

(And special thanks to the red panda who posed for the cover illustration!)

HAPPY SNOOP DAY!!!

It’s finally here!

Even though SNOOP is now out in the world, I still can’t explain why there’s a red panda on the cover. It would be a gross violation of Spoiler Alert. All I can say is it’s pretty amazing what you can see if you look hard enough.

I can’t wait to hear how everybody enjoys SNOOP!

IT’S AN “UNTEACHBLE” JULY, THANKS TO AMAZON

Great news – THE UNTEACHABLES  is a special pick for Prime Day this summer. Until July 11th, it’s available at a special discount of 36% through Amazon.

If that won’t get you through this heat wave, nothing will!

NPR CHOOSES FAKER FOR ITS “BOOKS WE LOVE” LIST!

Okay the headline says it all, but I’m still really proud of this honor from NPR. There aren’t a lot of kids’ books on the list, so to see FAKER in such impressive company is a wonderful feeling!

SEE THE WHOLE LIST HERE

OFFICIAL COVER REVEAL: OLD SCHOOL

No, it’s not a glitch. That’s an actual DODO on the cover of OLD SCHOOL, my next book, coming in January 2025.

Dexter Foreman is twelve … going on eighty!

He’s lived at The Pines retirement village with his grandmother since he was six years old, and as a result, he gets along better with senior citizens than kids his own age. He’s homeschooled by the residents up until the day the county’s truancy officer shows up and announces that Dex has to go to the local middle school.

At school, Dex stick...
