Rowena Kinread grew up in Yorkshire. She attended Ripon Grammar School. After leaving school she started working for Lufthansa in Stuttgart. There she met her future husband with whom she had 3 children (and now 6 grandchildren!) She worked as a secretary in a physiotherapy practice. At the same time she started writing non-fiction books and magazine articles. Retirement finally brought the financial security to start writing fiction. A keen interest in history and mythology inspired her first book “The Missionary”, the dramatic story about the life of St.Patrick. It has been highly acclaimed by “The Irish Post”, “The Scotsman” and “The Yorkshire Post.” A second book “The Scots of Dalriada” will be published Jan 26th 2023.
