Book Launch Day
I wanted my book to launch on a significant date. Of course any date would be significant because that is the day my book was unveiled. However, when I learned the actual published date would be June 9th, I HAD to launch on June 20th.
You see, the person who first introduced me to Jesus is my Great-Grandmother, Leona. She was a strong woman of faith and an example to many. She held a weekly scripture group at her house, which she called the Joy Club. As a child, I'd spend the night at her house and before we went to bed, we'd kneel on the ground with praying hands and heads bowed, say our prayers. Jesus was her best friend and modeled for me what an intimate relationship with Jesus looked like. June 20th is her birthday and so, it is in her honor and memory that today I launch my book on Discipleship!
