REAL TIME BLG: Leaving The Ground

Today begins a new adventure in northern Europe. Even though I spend a month or more in Florence every year, I haven't explored the northern mountain territory in quite some time, other than to
experience that agonizing up-and-down-bump-all-around flight from Frankfurt or Moscow over the Swiss Alps and down into Florence, a few times. Anyone who's not crazy about flying, trust me, take a train.

This time I land in Munich and train it to Innsbruck, Venice, Florence (to see friends and, well, party a little..), Rome, and some points south...

GODCHILD:A "True" Sequel

I rarely...OK never...re-post a review of one of my books on my own blog site, simply because they get enough play over the cyber-waves on their own. But this review by Heath Lowrance on GODCHILD is different for several reasons. First off, Heath is not only a magnificent noir author in his own right (THE BASTARD HAND, New Pulp Press), he is a highly regarded, if not one of the most highly regarded, noir critics of his generation, so I can’t tell you what a good review from him means to me. Second, Heath knows me better more than any other reviewer, and he is able to comment on the condition I might have been in at the time I was writing a particular book, as he was able to do in the case of GODCHILD. Finally, GODCHILD is the "true" sequel to THE INNOCENT which has not only spent the past month in the Amazon Top 100 Kindle Books, it has spent two weeks of that in the Top Ten Amazon Kindle Books; one week of that in the Top 5. That said, I want readers and fans alike to know that GODCHILD is not just another Jack Marconi story. It is a “true” sequel in that it not only takes off from where THE INNOCENT ends, it offers answers to questions posed in the first book, the most significant of which is, who murdered Keeper’s wife?

Colbert Delcares War On Amazon and Me

The following blog is now appearing at The Vincent Zandri Vox: http://vincentzandri.blogspot.com/201...

That knucklehead pee-in-your-pants class clown Stephen Colbert trashed Amazon Publishing a few days ago on his show because his books are aren't selling fast enough on the Amazon site.

Me sitting at a pretend news desk wearing a cheap suit: "Maybe your books aren't all that good?"
(Laugh track) oops...Live audience supplied by free tickets handed out in Times Square....

You can see the clip from the show here, where Class Clown Colbert does something really clever like giving Amazon the finger....twice...and get this, his hand is stuffed inside an Amazon delivery box, bubble wrap and all...HAHAHA!

I almost pissed my pants it was so funny. Guy's got serious talent.

Hey Stephen, there's a reason Amazon sells 50% of the books that are purchased by the reading public. Because they offer a great product at a reasonable price.

You just declared WAR on Amazon. I publish with Amazon Publishing's imprint, Thomas & Mercer, which means you are at WAR with me. I'd be happy to face off with you on your show about my experiences with AP.

If you don't like it, you can flip me off ... To my face.
