New Book: Taming the Bander and a contest
Summer has an m/m out today Taming the Bander Yay! And it's gotten two good reviews. Yay! (one's here at Goodreads)
4.75/5 stars at Jessewave
"A deliciously light-hearted story about an unusual shapeshifter and his unlikely lover....
...I got a wonderful pairing of tall, dark and silent with bright, vivid and chatty. Flintstone and spark. Rock and wind. Jake and Vaughn complement each other beautifully, even though it takes both of them a while to see that, and I had a great time being a fly on their wall. Warmly recommended."

NEW BOOK OUT TODAY!
another m/m historical by Summer Devon and Bonnie Dee...Happy release day to us!
Mending Him out today!
want to see a list of our reviews? Sure you do.
http://katerothwell.blogspot.com/2014...
That link also addressed an issue people have remarked upon.
But I'll put that up here too, because why not?
A few reviewers have wondered what was going on with poor Charles, who suffered with a mysterious illness that seemed to come and go.
It remained unnamed in the story because they syndrome wasn’t recognized until decades after Mending Him took place. Sufferers were often accused of hysteria, in part because they improved without any sort of outside treatment.
Did you guess?
SPOILERS (except is it called a spoiler if it's not actually named in the book?)
The quick answer copied from webmd/mayoclinic and maybe a bit from wikipedia (but not much because my family of scientists loathe that site):
Guillain-Barre syndrome was named after the French physicians Georges Guillain and Jean Alexandre Barré, who described it in 1916.
GBS is a rare disorder in which your body’s immune system attacks your nerves. Weakness and tingling in your extremities are usually the first symptoms.
These sensations can quickly spread, eventually paralyzing your whole body. patients usually reach the point of greatest weakness or paralysis days or weeks after the first symptoms occur. Symptoms then stabilize at this level for a period of days, weeks, or, sometimes, months.
The recovery period may be as little as a few weeks or as long as a few years. About 30 percent of those with Guillain-Barré still have a residual weakness after 3 years. About 3 percent may suffer a relapse of muscle weakness and tingling sensations many years after the initial attack. There is still no cure today.

Two New Books
Man, I missed my chance to show off, you guys.
TWO NEW BOOKS.
Hot Under the Collar -- a contemporary m/m bit of fluff romance. I loved writing it because any project with Bonnie is fun.
and this one, which is basically The Scent of Hope expanded from a short story to a novella.
The Hanged Man's Hero
AND THIS ONE IS OUT TODAY.
So there you are, two short titles by Summer Devon. Read them.
XXOO
the shorter version The Scent of Hope is free--written for the group here on Facebook. It got fairly good reviews but people wanted it to be longer, so I wrote more.
Still a labor of love, but once I hired the editor and proofreader, and paid for a cover -- I couldn't make that version permanently free or I'd go out of business.
