Free Kindle Book Today
My psychological suspense, The Dark Lake, is free today.
I've been reading some of the reviews about it and I'm intrigued by the variations in responses to it.
When I first published it, I was getting some pretty bad reviews. Many people talked about the need for editing. One thing I love about uploading books to kindle is that you can make changes so quickly. I made many edits to the novel and the reviews have improved dramatically.
I never changed the edition number on the book, although I have thought about doing that. I'm afraid of losing the reviews I have if I do that, so perhaps I will try that with another one of my books that I don't care as much about like Cheese Doodles.
The Dark Lake is the first book in The Oshkosh Trilogy. Call me Jane is the second, and the third book isn't published yet.

The Dark Lake is a psychological suspense told in stream of consciousness from the point of view of a disturbed woman. Jane just wants to be normal, but she still lives with her parents even though she's in her late thirties. She can't keep a job, stay sober or get on with her life. She keeps reliving a partial memory of a party, and the night her car went through the ice in frozen Lake Winnebago. The Dark Lake
