Inspiring author

Having just read her book 'Fever: a Story from a Devon Churchyard', I was delighted to meet Liz Shakespeare at the North Devon County Show. Her diligent research and her ability to bring to life real people now long past is inspiring.
I look forward to read the books I bought from her.

Re Release!

I'm excited to be launching a 2nd edition of 'Blood & Allegiance' (the rest of my Athlandia Series to follow...)

The story is the same but it has small additions, chapter heading illustrations, some improved writing. I am, after all, older and, possibly, wiser!

It's available both in paperback and on Kindle.

I am looking forward to selling in person at a pannier market somewhere in Devon soon...

It's a romantic medieval fantasy story and, hopefully, the first in my Torland series.

NEW BOOK: Painted Blind

I'm so excited that my first adult novel - a romance set in an alternate medieval world - is due to be released on Tuesday. If you can't wait, it's already available on Kindle!

Nell didn’t like how other people saw her – or rather the crown upon her head. What if she changed her identity? She could be rid of her responsibilities and all the expectations pushed upon her, temporarily at least. She didn’t consider how she might develop strong feelings for those around her, her new friends. And what if she fell in love…

And what if someone else had developed deadly plans of their own…

Not the only author in the family...

Exciting news: my sister-in-law's book,The Last Muster: A journey through the spectacular scenery and rich history of the high country of Aotearoa, has just been published. I'm trying to source a Hardcover version from somewhere else in the world as it is currently only available on Kindle here (UK). I'd rather have a hard copy when the photos are as important as the text!
It's a non fiction book about:
A journey into the high country of Aotearoa.
Mustering by horse is a tradition that goes back to the first run-holders and is, for some, still a rich and vital part of life on New Zealand's high-country stations.
From Otago's Greenstone Station to Muller in the Awatere, Smedley in Hawke's Bay to Chatham Island's Bluff Station, The Last Muster is a book about the old ways, lives lived in the saddle, and a love for horses that is hard-won and tightly knotted.

Athlandia 3.9: free story

On the suggestion of my daughter, I have written a short story that describes the dramatic events that come just before my fourth Athlandia story, "Capture and Liberation". I have made it available as a free downloadable PDF on my website and Facebook page.

The ramblings of Annette Hart

Annette V Hart
I am having trouble uploading a decent photo of myself. I've found this is partly because I make sure I'm usually the person holding the camera!
In the meantime, I have added a lovely view of the field
