Very sad news today that humorist, essayist and “This American Life” contributor, David Rakoff, has passed away. For anyone that read or listened to Mr. Rakoff’s clever, deadpan essays and articles, we’ve lost an inimitable voice capable of expressing melancholy and the abject boredom of a private life with a distinct comedic, self-aware irony not captured so exactly since Kurt Vonnegut or Mark Twain.
