Hi everyone!
I know, it's been way too long since I updated my blog. Guilty as charged.
Business has picked up and we're getting ready for our seasonal rush so this may be the last post for a while.
I pray that everyone is doing well and all my author friends out there are busy getting "writer's cramp".
I honestly have not been able to write a paragraph is quite some time. It's killing me but I just don't have time to "get into the zone". There are too many distractions at work and when I get home I'm just exhausted. Many of my friends here on GR have probably written me off. I'm terribly sorry. I still love you Lacy, Jen, (the rest know who you are). Please don't count me out. I'll be back with the finished product as soon as I can.
My Daughter Roxy Glisson just married her soul mate Colt Miller on November 10, 2012. We were crazy getting that together along with running two companies.
The only escape I've had is reading the Sookie Stackhouse Novels. I'm on "Dead In The Family" now and I can't seem to stop myself.
I'll be getting a new car the first week in December; a Toyota Rav4. My C.P.A. has advised us to get a loan so we will have deductions on our taxes. Crazy but FUN! I test drove it and it's soooo smooth!
I woke up the other morning to find my sonic spin brush that I threw in the trash half eaten. One of my dogs ate the head off of it. I swear! I haven't been able to locate it. None of them are acting like they're sick so I don't know who did it. I couldn't believe it. If you know what these things are, they are extremely hard and run on batteries. I had to start locking the trash can in the linen closet so they can't get out old razor blades. SCAREY!!!

Hi everyone.
Been way too long but I've been sooooo darn busy!
Something has been weighing heavily on my heart and I felt like, as an author that I had no right to criticize someone else's work. I thought, "Well, what if I say that and people stop reading my book or stop recommending it."
Well, I can't stay silent. I have to speak up. I know that my novel has quite a lot of steamy scenes and some people would like to label it "erotica". I don't feel it deserves that.
Someone told me about this new book out and that I just had to read it. So I picked it up at the store and took it home. I scrunched down into my favorite reading chair and started reading.
The author of this book has a wonderful writing style but I was appalled at the amount of kinky sex (S&M/Bondage,etc). I figured it would have a scene or two but this made 9 1/2 Weeks (Mickey Rourke, Kim Basinger) look like Mickey and Minnie Mouse.
Like I said before, I am squirming as I write this because of the backlash I may get from this post. Anyway,
I've never done this before, but I had to put the book down. NO, I didn't just put it down, I threw it in the trash. I am not going to mention the name of the book nor the author, but if any mom's are reading this post, please, if your teen ager or pre-teen is reading this book, grab it from them NOW. The cover is black, white and Grey. (Hint)
I heard that they are even talking about it becoming a movie. It would have to be rated "X". I was watching "So You Think You Can Dance" last night and Kat Dealy (sorry if I got the spelling wrong) made mention of it as two dancers left the stage.
Now I know there are goodreads members who read this type of genre. That's fine. To each his own. I'm just letting my friends (though some may elect to "de-friend" me after this) know to be careful if they decide to read this book. The language is extremely graphic with the "F Bomb" thrown around like beach-balls at a Justin Beiber concert.
Like I said, to each his own.
It just wasn't for me and I'm pretty liberal when it comes to my reading material.
As Forest Gump would say, "That's all I've got to say about that".

Hey guys!
Sorry, been real busy with business but had to stop in to catch up. I've not been able to sit and "stalk" my friends list to ask them to read my book. I used to sit around for hours and type personal messages to each and every one of my many many friends, but I just haven't had the time lately so my sales are slumping. Please, if you could just recommend it to one, just one, of your friends it would really help me out.
I've been M.I.A. on facebook as well and many probably think I've dropped off the map.
I haven't, but the only way I can dedicate the time and energy to daily posts is for God to say, "Okay, I think I'll make a day 26 hours instead of 24." I really don't anticipate that happening.

Hi everyone. Sorry it's been so long since I last wrote but I've been extremely busy. Moved into a new house about three weeks ago. We have a pool and a jacuzzi. I've been unpacking and taking frequent "swim breaks", plus I've been running the store. Business is really good. I've taken my laptop to the store like 10 times but it's just too much going on for me to concentrate on writing. Then when I get home I have to prepare dinner and do laundry and stuff. Neverending!
My puppy Lilu is so jealous that right now she's on the desk hanging out with me. Sometimes she just has to do it to get my attention. I love her so much but I've neglected her and the other pups. I feel really bad about it. I tried to make it up to her a couple of nights ago by taking her for a short walk. She really misses it, I could tell.
Anyway, really tired so I'll say goodnight for now.

Sorry I've been M.I.A. lately. Just moved into a new house and am still sorting through boxes. Can't seem to find my shoes. Leaves me with only two pair, my running shoes and my flip flops. So frustrating but we're loving the new place. Been so busy at the store. Haven't had a free moment to write but I keep promising myself that I'll get to it soon.
They aired the "Eye On Business" spot but I missed it cuz they didn't let me know when it was going to be aired. I've tried to find the link but can't so I'll have to call Cara, the interviewer. I'll post it as soon as I find out though.
Well, that's about it. Not much else going on.

Hi everyone!
WOW! first of all let me just wish all the mothers and mothers to be out there a Happy Mother's Day!
Goin Postal closed their doors and as they say the "flood gates were open". We have been crazy busy! Receipts have tripled and I wrote my very first distribution check to myself last week. It felt so good to walk around with some cash in my pocket. LOL
I also signed up for a website. You can find it by going to: WTOC.com, click on community, click Rincon and my logo will pop up, if not just click on "find businesses" and it'll appear. Click on the logo and the website will pop up and give you all my information and you can even see pics of my store.
Writing has unfortunately taken a backseat, but I plan on remedying (wish I had spellcheck) the situation.
I'm going to be guest blogging on a website all this week. I'll have to get the link and post it here in case any of you want to drop by and ask a question or just say "Hi".

Hey guys!
Business is picking up. Found out yesterday that my direct competition, "Goin Postal" is closing their doors for good on April 22. That would make us the only game in town. I have to admit, though I am saddened by the misfortune of the owner, secretly I am dancing a jig, you know? I did find out that she is happy about it as well so that's a good thing. :)
It's getting closer to time for us to move and I'm very excited about it.
Things are going so well that it makes me wonder when the anvil is going to drop onto my balloon of happiness.
Roxy auditioned for the Savannah Christian Praise Team and though the music director told her it would be a couple of weeks before he could tell her, he did say that she would be "shadowing" the other girl for a few weeks. I guess that's when they put you in the back (like a back-up singer) so people can get used to seeing her face before they shove her into the spotlight. Speaking of which, she sang at the Friday Night Live at the Old Dixie Cafe' again tonite and she was awesome!
Well, I am about to collapse onto my laptop keys so I guess I'd better get some shut eye.
