I am anxiously awaiting my author's copies of my newest book of childhood memories ISLAND TREASURES. I appreciate that Atheneum wanted to acknowledge the long life in print of two previously published books WHERE THE FLAMETREES BLOOM and UNDER THE ROYAL PALMS [Pura Belpre Medal] by combining them in this volume with a new set of stories DAYS AT LA QUINTA SIMONI.
