There's an email making the rounds. It goes like this:

Remember the five simple rules to be happy:

1. Free your heart from hatred.

2. Free your mind from worries.

3. Live simply.

4. Give more.

5. Expect less.

My simple rules are:

1. Hatred is the engine that drives my car. Of course, "being happy" isn't my life-goal, either.

2. Only way to free your mind from worries is to be mindless.

3. "Live simply" doesn't mean "live simple-minded."

4. Give more ... see (1)

5. Expect less ... yeah, when I walk down a dark alley, I always keep my eyes closed.

Whoever wrote that first bit of tripe needs to watch Life more and Oprah less.
