Aside from his writing side-hustle, Ed (Jamie) is a UK and Netherlands-based producer and director. Specialised in action and adventure, he's travelled extensively to a range of hostile and remote locations from the Philippine Trench, to islands off Papua New Guinea, and to the upper Amazon. In his fifties, he might want a nap in the afternoon, but still loves the process of creating vibrant and exciting stories in some of the worlds most challenging places. His most recent credit is 007's Road to a Million. ...more

My pal called it maybe the best book ever written. Could be. For me, it was really really impressive and I treasured its scope and power. But maybe I admired it more than loved it?

“She had walked on ahead as blue-grey stippled waters had appeared through the trees, and she crossed a gravel track to rest against an old brick wall overlooking the bank. Downriver was a weir, the faint rush mixing with the birdsong from the wood. The sun had gone in while they were amongst the bluebells, and the atmosphere was muted, the waters moving slowly and quietly. When he joined her they took in the serene scene.

“I have done bad things too, you know” she said.”
