MOSQUITOSAUR VS. CRABSHARK, Starring Natasha Henstridge and Shane Moxie
I was recently invited to pen a piece on my favorite horror movie, and chose SyFy's MOSQUITOSAUR VS. CRABSHARK starring Natasha (Species) Henstridge and Shane (Amishing in Action) Moxie.
"MOSQUITOSAUR VS. CRABSHARK marked the nadir not only of Moxie’s career, but his addiction to phencyclidine. This would be his last movie before an intervention was staged. He would next be seen on Celebrity Rehab, tearfully voiding himself into a bucket, an all-too-public fall from grace akin to a drunken David Hasselhoff belligerently devouring a cheeseburger, or the guy who played the dad in ALF blowing guys for crack cocaine."

Jason's done some fantastic voice work here, there's a real "King of the Hill" vibe to the goofball characters, and the scary stuff is truly chilling. Can't recommend this highly enough. Brings fresh life to the book. Felt like I was hearing the story for the first time. If you have ears, please do check it out...

While delivering an illegal shipment of counterfeit wrestling merchandise, an ill-fated shortcut through the Kentucky backwoods leads them to a teenaged girl carved head to toe in arcane symbols. Soon our unlikely heroes are being hunted through the boonies by a cult of religious crazies who make the Westboro Baptists look like choirboys… a cult that will stop at nothing to get the girl back and complete a ritual that has held an ancient evil at bay for centuries… Until now."
