Two Years and a New Book Later

Hello Everyone,

It's been an awfully long time. Again. I have wanted to start a post so many times, but then just felt overwhelmed with the task.**

First of all, for those of you who haven't heard, YES! Copper, the second book in The Glister Journals, is at long last out and available in both ebook and paperback. Why did it take so long? That's harder to explain.

Second, as many of you know, I am

YA Reads for Teac...: Promote Your Stuff Here! - (Book Authors) 142 323 Feb 28, 2021 09:20AM
“Sometimes life is hard. Things go wrong—in life and in love and in business and in friendship and in health and in all the other ways that life can go wrong. And when things get tough, this is what you should do: make good art. . . . Someone on the internet thinks what you’re doing is stupid or evil or it’s all been done before: make good art. Probably things will work out somehow, eventually time will take the sting away, and it doesn’t even matter. Do what only you can do best: make good art.”
Neil Gaiman

“Read for fun, read for information, read in order to understand yourself and other people with quite different ideas. Learn about the world beyond your door. Learn to be compassionate and grow in wisdom. Books can help us in all these ways.”
Katherine Paterson

“To die will be an awfully big adventure.”
J.M. Barrie, Peter Pan

“Critics who treat 'adult' as a term of approval, instead of as a merely descriptive term, cannot be adult themselves. To be concerned about being grown up, to admire the grown up because it is grown up, to blush at the suspicion of being childish; these things are the marks of childhood and adolescence. And in childhood and adolescence they are, in moderation, healthy symptoms. Young things ought to want to grow. But to carry on into middle life or even into early manhood this concern about being adult is a mark of really arrested development. When I was ten, I read fairy tales in secret and would have been ashamed if I had been found doing so. Now that I am fifty I read them openly. When I became a man I put away childish things, including the fear of childishness and the desire to be very grown up.”
C.S. Lewis

“All good books are alike in that they are truer than if they had really happened and after you are finished reading one you will feel that all that happened to you and afterwards it all belongs to you: the good and the bad, the ecstasy, the remorse and sorrow, the people and the places and how the weather was. If you can get so that you can give that to people, then you are a writer.”
Ernest Hemingway

HI Celine, Actually the agreement with Australia just means the books are printed and distributed from there, instead of having to be shipped from the US or wherever. New Zealand would get them from an Australia location which should help with shipping costs. At least I think that's how it works.

And thanks for the suggestion about my book description. It's one of the hardest things to write! If you have any suggestions I am definitely open to hearing them. Most of the book is discovering things about the characters, so I admit to not saying too much about them. It's difficult to know what to say without giving too much away. As a potential reader, what would spark your interest more?

I have just ordered books from Barnes and Noble and just waiting for them to arrive. I'm already planning on ordering more soon. When I go on thier website, I will make sure to search your book up.
When your agreement goes well with Australia, you should also try and set one up with New Zealand. So me and other fellow New Zealanders can read it. :)
Plus, I'm just trying to help and not being critical or anything. But with your goodreads description on 'The Glister Journals: Bronze', have you thought about adding more about the main character and main storyline?
Thank you.

It is available through Amazon, Barnes and Noble, and other online sellers worldwide through a major distributor. Check with your favorite online seller, they probably have it. We will probably be setting up an agreement with Australia soon, but not sure when. I'd be curious to know if you have trouble locating it!

Celine Hi B.B,

Thats alright, thanks for accepting.
Um yeah, I am interested in reading realistic Y.A fiction. I love anything that is Y.A, espiecially to do with romance. I have seen that you have added one of your own books. I have marked it to-read. Which countries is it published in?

message 2: by B.B.

B.B. Shepherd Well, that is good to know that people are reading the review! I have a link to the reviews here on Goodreads and also to those on Amazon on my book's website, but I'm going to put a page on my blog too, as that gets WAY more traffic. Since the book seems to be liked, I think we're going to put out a hardback edition (of Bronze) and try to promote it along traditional lines (major trade media) and see what happens. That probably won't have a release date until the first quarter of next year. I should have done it with the paperback release, but was too unsure of it. At the same time I AM working on Book 2 (unofficial title - LOL - yes I do HAVE a title, just not releasing it yet. We'll keep it a mystery a little longer, along with what happened to Chris - haha) I've been working on the material for all three remaining books, and reading back over it gets me so pumped up. I can't wait to get this next book out there!

Jacqui Lademann "Hi, back!" LOL
How is it going getting the word out about "Bronze"?
I'm noticing the stats on my blog show that at least a couple of people each day are reading my review, so that has to be a good thing.

I'm still waiting for part two as well, I need to know what happened to Chris...
