Lynn Bohart holds a master’s degree in theater and has taught writing through Green River College for 10+ years. She has self-published ten popular paranormal mystery novels, two short story books, and two nonfiction books on Amazon.com, including the Detective Giorgio Salvatori mystery series and the Old Maids of Mercer Island mystery series. She is currently working on her first YA book following Julia and her brother Ben from the Old Maids books when they were teens. THE POPULARITY OF CRIME

According to a study by the PEW Research Center, true crime is the most common topic for the highest rated podcasts in the country right now. Of those listening, women are twice as likely to listen than men, along with people with lower formal education. While I fit half of that statistic, I guess I’m an outlier because I earned a master’s degree back at the dawn of time.

Lynn Bohart answered Goodreads's question: How do you get inspired to write? Sometimes, I get my inspiration for the crimes in my books from documentaries. For instance, when I saw a documentary years ago on sex trafficking, I used that as the crime in "Inn Keeping with Murder," the first Old Maids book.
