As soon as I was born, my parents named me Candy Cotten.

Although the name sounds sweet, I turned out to be stubborn, faith-filled and creative. Raised in Southern California until the age of twenty, I married Michael Roe in 1981. I was a stay at home mom and built up a home based business creating calligraphy projects for companies and myself. I also learned how to be a professional picture framer.

I have three grown children and currently live in the beautiful rural mountain town of Pine, Arizona. Pine boasts of some of the tallest Ponderosa Pines in the country.

In my memoir I share challenging personal stories from childhood until the present and they are laced with humor, anger, christian faith, hope, determination and perseverance.
