Hi everyone! My name is Scarlet Ibis James, and I’m a Black woman writer based in NYC. My roots are Trinbagonian, and they play a significant role in shaping my stories. I love delving into that rich cultural background and using it to explore the complex, yet beautiful, dance between love and self-discovery. My stories are all about the twists and turns in life that we can all relate to. And they're award-winning books, I'm happy to say! Scarlet Yearnings and Scarlet Birthright have both won literary awards for multicultural fiction!
