Dare, Dare, Double Dare...Kiss

Today and for the rest of the week I will be typing up my new book. I know you shouldn't laugh at your own work but it's FAF. It's good, I know self praise is no praise but one person's read it and that's praise enough to continue.
It has all the characters from my other books. As they meet up for their 5 yearly get together, with hilarious consequences, naughty games, reunions and new romances.
The night out we'd all love but wouldn't dare participate in. Or would we.

Missed Adventures

Driving through leafy country lanes, the road twists and turns through villages and fields ready for harvest. There's something special about a convertible, as sun beats down, feeling the warm summer breeze blows through my hair, fluttering the fabric of my summer dress.

The car has the heart, eagerness and turn of speed like a race horse, a slight touch of the foot and your away. But not today, today is a leisurely drive there's no rush, no rush at all. No rush to get where I'm going, time is of no importance.

Life speeds up soon enough on the motorway, as everyone is rushing to get somewhere, anywhere.

Pulling into the services to freshen up. I return to my car and there is a note on the windscreen, 'See you on the motorway!' it makes me laugh. So just for devilment I reply on the back in red lipstick and wrote 'Yeah see you!' placing it on the transit parked next to me. Laughing to myself as I would be miles away by the time they caught up and nearly at my turn off.

Next thing I know is the same van is beside me, never been chatted up on the motorway before, as a thwarted their suggests and came out with a few classic of my own. I thought about my characters who would have relished the flirt and maybe take it to a whole new level, but not me I smiled and to their dismay pulled off the motorway. Thinking which character would take full advantage of the situation and it would probably be the new girls, Polly and Teri.

Back and Beyond,

In the middle of nowhere in the back of beyond, away from the hussle and bussle of everyday life. Robbie – my horse – and I canter through the woods, jumped over the gate and up a small hill. We stood a while to take in the view, then trotted down into the meadow below. Robbie’s sided twitched as there where tickled by the long grass. Dismounting, I gather my thoughts and Robbie is happy to eat the lush grass, as I take refuse from the sun under a tree. Making notes of my emotions, feelings, not just the calm and tranquillity of the setting but also the loneliness and my own vulnerability.
I laid back and looked through the branches, watching the leaves fluttering in the warm summer breeze. I closed my eyes, thoughts came to mind of this place, a secret meeting, a chance encounter, a lasting memory revisited, a place of sadness in time of despair to gather your thoughts.
As the warm breeze washed over me, the leave flutter and the grass whispers, time just melts away. My mind is filled with promise of this place, my characters and the story to be had. A place to share, to have fun, and a memory to create.
My peace is interrupted by a tractor and also my horse, now a big as he is Robbie is not brave where tractors are concerned, so without standing on me, he’s stuck to my side. It could be a gesture of gallantry, to protect me from the tractor. But as I stand he’s behind me, so maybe not.
Now there’s a random encounter, my mind sprang into action. As I mount up, I smiled at the farmer, now in my book he would be younger and fitter. Not to take anything away from the older man but he was a bit long in the tooth, but then again what they loose in stamina, they make up for in experience.
