Reality Shift

It's finally out! Sorry it took so long but I wanted to make it right. Here is the description:
Calvin Duffy thought his life was normal until it was not. The abnormalities begin as minor things suddenly changing— the color of a familiar wall, a highway exit he has driven past a hundred times, the names of children in his neighborhood — but none of these changes seem to register with anyone else. To them, things are the way they've always been.
The abnormalities gradually get worse. Someone from his office building vanishes as if he'd been erased from the world and no one notices or cares.
But Calvin does.
A woman shows up on his doorstep, claiming to be a family member, and she is, somehow, though she never existed before that day, before that moment.
Calvin is worried and realizes that he can't continue to ignore the problems but has no idea what's causing them or how to make them stop. Turbo, Calvin's mentally ill homeless friend, says they are happening because Calvin is shifting into new realities, one after the other, each slightly different from the one before it, in one long chain of parallel universes. The differences between these realities are small at first but grow larger with each new one that he enters, and he struggles to adapt but never really has time to before he's thrown into another.
When the situation becomes so bad that people close to him are threatened, Calvin knows he has to do something soon, and if he doesn't, he could end up in a reality where he loses everything.

New One

Don't give up on me because I haven't given up on you! Sounds like a cheesy line, right? That's because it is, but I'm hard at work, revising the next book, Reality Shift, trying to locate and destroy cheesy lines like that that may have slipped in during moments of weakness.
Look for the book later in the summer.

Another New Book

I have a new novel out, Switch House. Here is the book description:
Josie Switch has led a hard life. Orphaned by a killer at the age of eight, followed by several miserable years of foster care, she's then forced to live on her own after turning eighteen.
She thinks her troubles may be over when she learns that she has inherited a historic house in a college town three hours away. Josie jumps at the chance to move there but quickly discovers that this unexpected gift comes with disturbing strings attached. The 200-year-old mansion is so dilapidated that it is on the verge of being condemned, and the necessary repairs cost far more than she could ever afford.
Worse, there are unscrupulous people who want to take her home away from her because of its location on 27 acres of prime riverfront property. Others want the Switch estate because of the treasure that is said to be hidden somewhere, stashed in a secret chamber or buried on the grounds.
Worse still, strange things are going on inside the family mansion. Furniture won't stay where Josie puts it. A door at the end of the hallway doesn't always open to the same room. The Steinway grand piano plays Chopin in the middle of the night with no one at the keyboard.
And then there's the mysterious stray cat that shows up during a thunderstorm and refuses to leave.
Josie starts to think that the rumors of the house being haunted may actually be true but soon realizes that there's more to it than that. The house wants something from her, something only she can provide. She must figure out what that is or the consequences will be deadly.

New Edition

Doorways to Infinity, the conclusion to the Wizard Born series, has been released as a second edition. I kept the plot the same but made numerous small improvements to improve its readability. I think it's much smoother and more enjoyable now.

New Book.

My newest novel is out! It's called The Weave of Dreams, and here is the description:
Shep Foster is cyber security analyst for the NSA. His job is to hack a white supremacist group, the Aryan Alliance, and discover the source and purpose of their funds before they commit a deadly act of terrorism.
Shep is good at his job.
He is a logical man.
His faith in reason becomes shattered when he receives a blow to the head and begins to have frightening, realistic dreams, as vivid as anything he’s ever experienced. At first, he tries to dismiss them as products of his sleeping mind, but lasting injuries that he incurs during these nightmares cause him to reconsider this assumption.
Every dream begins with an ancient weaver, working at her loom. She forces him to accept difficult tasks, and they challenge him to the limits of his ability and endurance. She tells him there is a pattern to the dreams, and he must learn what it is and how it matters to his so-called perfect life.
There is only one person Shep trusts well enough to discuss his unusual situation— Lacey, his stepdaughter. Together, they try to solve the puzzle the weaver has presented to Shep, but there are too many pieces, too many factors.
There is nothing logical about his encounters with the weaver. She can’t possibly exist. The dreams can’t possibly be real. When he awakens one morning with a wound on his forearm, he begins to question his sanity. The weaver demands that he question everything.
Shep and Lacey believe that his assignments from the NSA and the weaver may be related, but how? Not only must Shep figure out what destructive act the white supremacists are planning, he must also decipher the overall pattern of the dreams before the last one ends or he will become trapped in the weaver’s realm forever.
