On September 5th, 1977, Voyager 1 was launched from Cape Canaveral, Florida. For over forty-two years the space probe has raced away from Earth at thirty-eight thousand miles per hour—past Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, cruising past Pluto and the furthest fringes of our Solar System. On August 25th, 2012, Voyager 1 accomplished what no other human designed device had ever done. The probe Read more of this blog post »

“Mitch was afraid for my feelings and this made me uncomfortable.
"Just spit it out, Mitch," I said a little too abruptly.
Mitch shrugged reluctantly. "Gene's third request was that if I ever met his daughter, I should tell her that her daddy never stopped loving her. Ever."
"Shit," I gasped, and looked down at Sam.
I barely heard Mitch offer, "I'll take you back.”
Alan Nayes, Barbary Point

“A part of me will always be joined to a part of you. I can feel it. And it feels so damn good. Don't ever let go of me, Kelly English."
"I didn't let go, Mitch," I say aloud. "And it still feels damn good.”
Alan Nayes, Barbary Point

Goge (BARRONS) le Moning Maniac, Alan wrote: "wow, goge, both those books are so different. hope you enjoy them. thx."

My interests have a tendency of doing that, ranging widely from one another. But I'll tell you why I'm picking them up:

Barbary Point got good reviews from someone I know, it was recommended. I know the location the book's taking place so that caught my interest as well as the plot and the line, "that one magical week in May on the shores of Lake Winnebago when the ducklings hatch and the walleye run." caught my attention. I want to see your writing, how your words flow, your idiosyncrasy.

As for Girl Blue, I especially love and am intrigued by the plotline. A sculptor: an artist, that's always intriguing, a witch who's been wronged and has done wrong thereby encasing her soul in a block of granite. I've been called in by the horror aspect, the possible romance, the betrayal aspect, and the questions, the mystery. I have a lot of questions as to what happened or will happen, hence it's best to read the book and douse my flames of curiosity. Too many unanswered questions are popping up and I'm over-contemplating; I want to read this and soon.
