M J Webb lives and works in the heart of England. A short while after the birth of his two children he found himself wanting to do something for them. To give them something from him they could hopefully be proud of.
The Jake West trilogy was the result.

These books are easy reading, penned for anyone above the age of twelve who has a little imagination.

In September 2022 A Child of Szabo was published. This is a high octane adult thriller which will appeal to readers of Lee Child, Mark Greaney, Tom Cain etc.

In 2024 he published Realm of Ruin. This is an adult fantasy standalone with a little spice so 18+. It's fast-paced

Gassar,

Hello. Great question, thank you. My favourite for sentimental reasons is Jake West - The Keeper of the Stones, because it is my first and was penned for my children. That means so much and brings forth tons of emotions.
However, I believe Jake West - The Estian Alliance is a far better fantasy novel and by that time I was a much more rounded writer.
A Child of Szabo holds a special place in my heart too, because it's the one I enthused over most and working alongside a good friend in the early morns to produce a great yarn was a truly special time/experience.
Without doubt the best technically is my latest; The Ajax File.... I suppose I'm torn because I love something about all of my books. I'm sorry to sit on the fence a little for this reason but if you push me for a decision, I'm going to go with The Ajax File.

Thanks so much for your question and interest.

However, what little free time I do have is spent writing because it is pure stress relief and escapism; on that page I can create whatever I want to create, be whoever I want to be...
I love the freedom to explore my own imagination at will, and very often I'm surprised, delighted and amazed by what I find. My writing is for me and my children, but occasionally somebody somewhere writes a review, or contacts me to tell me they enjoyed my novel, and that is like gold dust. It's like scoring the winning goal in the cup final and it never gets old.
I could go on and on..... :-)(less)

“Do not be afraid of the unknown, Jake. When you cannot see something, or do not know of it, it does not always follow that it is a thing to be feared. You must embrace it with all your heart and soul. Learn to understand it, for only then will you be able to control it, or prevent it from controlling you.”
M.J. Webb

“It is history and as such it is good for teachings only, it cannot change the future unless you dwell on it, unless you let it.”
M.J. Webb

“She studied the face in the mirror for a good half hour. Scarcely recognised the individual staring back at her. Wondered how much truly remained of the person she was. The turbulent existence, the traumas, the wear and tear, the physical injuries and mental scars... all left indelible marks over time on people like her. They warned her of that from the very outset. Baggage, they called it, because you carry it with you wherever you go. Some bags were heavier than others. Too heavy. Most eventually broke under the enormous strain, succumbed to the inevitable and just burned out. Or ended things in the only way they knew for sure was permanent, removed any variables in favour of a dead cert, you might say.
Humans are frail creatures.”
M J Webb, A Child of Szabo

Thanks Lucinda - My books were penned for my children but seem to be doing rather well, though I am struggling to crack Goodreads/entice readers at present. I do hope you try them and let me know what you think but either way thanks for the friendship and look forward to your insights/views. I'm branching out so to speak at present, reading books I would not normally read, a product of having more time on my hands at last now that the trilogy is complete. @:-)
