Looks like I have won a copy but they were surprised that we do not all live in the US! They now say I can not have the book as I do not in the USA. but as we created the post office in the UK I think we can still get post over here, I will keep you up dated on this and give you a review when I have read it.
What does everyone think about this?

Don't read our book if you are not American !
Just me moaning again, I was looking forward to reading the book now I can't have it due to not living in the USA!
My email to them:
Ho yes I now see you say limited to US Residents, but that is only on the website but not on the advert see below copy of your add you placed in my book group, as you see it in no way states a caveat about location discrimination:
I know the English language has different meanings around the world in that you can say things like poor people but not white trash.
Why I say this is that to have a location demographic discrimination policy is like saying we will not send books to anyone who is black in color as we do not have good sales in the black community.
The book trade has to be international and be available to all races so to place your advert on an international bookgroup and then say the members of that bookgroup can not take part, well this does sound like a form of discrimination and like the earlier example to say you do not deal with blacks because you get poor sales from the black community can be taken not so much as a sales technique but imagine how the black community would take that wording and think you are saying we do not deal with blacks as you are superior top them, so saying we do not wish to deal with people outside of the USA is like saying we are superior in the USA and that we do not wish our books to be read beyond our national borders.
I give out free copies of our publications in competitions to people all over the world and the postage difference has to be taken into account but it is not that great compared to the extra sales you get internationally as I would hope that they would like what they read and buy others in the series.
Just think how you would feel if I said please enter my competition for a free book but not if you are American!
You may disagree with my thinking on this and of course I may be mistaken that other non North American goodread members would feel disappointed in not receiving a book that they have won so I am happy to ask my group members what they think.
(I still think your advert was misleading as I said I have copied it for you to see:)
