Behind the Scenes for Ripped and Give Away!

Ripped (Boys of Summer) by Mia Downing Okay, how can anyone not admire that gorgeous chest and want to lick the water droplets from those abs? And that's just the cover!

The Blurb:
Lifeguard/artist Gavin White has been holding the ripped shreds of his life together by the seams. Facing the anniversary of his sister's death, he fights the dark call of dependency and is at the edge of succumbing when his best friend since preschool returns to his life. Handsome geek-turned-hunk, Erik Clarke, wasn't afraid to come out and had been bold enough to kiss Gavin the last time they were together. Damn that kiss. Gavin wants more. So much more, but he was never brave enough to tell Erik his dreams. With his future hanging by a tattered thread, Gavin must trade one temptation for another or risk ripping his life apart.

The Juicy Bits:
Ripped was supposed to be a short, fun m/m for the Boys of Summer series. I like conflict, and one of the heroes, Gavin, has a bit of baggage, which wasn’t revealed to me until I got to a certain shower scene. He’s a child of an alcoholic, and he suffers a lot of guilt and pain from that past. This wasn’t a direction I really wanted to go, seeing I am also a child of an alcoholic, and some of Gavin’s issues were my issues. But I considered it a way to purge, so I wrote it. The story is in no way autobiographical, and I think Gavin had the harder road to travel.

Two interesting things I discovered while writing Ripped. One was how I still have a very strong concept of ‘safe,’ meaning safe havens, safe people, safe jobs. When your home isn’t a safe place as a child, you tend to create these pockets of safe in your life. I had a huge upheaval of safe places this summer when I lost a job of 12 years due to sale of the company, and that was hard.

The other interesting thing was that Erik, Gavin’s best friend since preschool, never knew the extent of Gavin’s suffering. I have a friend I’ve known since I was ten, and she verified that no, I don’t talk about that aspect of my life. She knew my dad yelled, but she never knew why I practically lived at her (safer) home.

Anyway, that's a little bit about what went into the story. Since you've been good and read to the end, leave me a comment and I'll put you in the running for to give away a copy of Ripped, your choice of e-format. If you're not into m/m (silly rabbit) then I'll give one of Spy Games: Trained for Seduction or Exceeding Boundaries.

Spies Like Birthday Games! Release of Birthday Games: Spy Games 1.5

Did you ever wonder what to give that difficult someone for their birthday? A menage, of course!

Yes, Jake Anderson gets a menage for his birthday in my first Indie short novella: Birthday Games--Spy Games 1.5. The incomparable Diana Carlile created the cover and edited the book for me, and for those that recognize the handsome blond man, YES he is Jake from my Lethal Limits cover! Available at: Amazon for .99 because my spies are cheap but they're not easy.

So what's this one about? Well, let me tell you!

What do you give the spy who has everything for his thirty-fifth birthday? A menage, of course. Secret Agent Jake Anderson can't believe his good fortune. He's always had the hots for his best friend's blonde bombshell wife, but Kate is also his partner and he knows better than to cross the line unless Chase gives the word. But all lines are erased for a night of sinful pleasure with his best friends, and even better, Jake gets to be in charge. Since Jake loves nothing more than missions that end in gun fights and car explosions, he's gearing up for one smokin' hot birthday party.

Birthday Games is a short, erotic story of approx. 76 pages featuring Chase and Kate Sanders and of course, Jake Anderson, spies from the Spy Games series by Mia Downing. This sexy, hot read gives eager readers a glimpse of what happens between books 1 and 2. There is nothing revealed that you won't learn eventually, but sometimes having advanced knowledge is half of the fun!

Birthday Games contains: Explicit language, really graphic, smokin' hot, kinky sex between consenting adults. Expect to enjoy light BDSM, spanking, m/f/m action, birthday cake and more!

Campus Cravings mm college bundle released 8/24!

Campus Cravings by KyAnn Waters

Come read my latest release, Switching Leads, part of the Campus Cravings: Higher Learning boxed set! All of the novellas are set at fictional Cathia University. There's something for everyone, from first love to angst-ridden reunions between students, professors, coaches...

Anthology by: LA Witt, KyAnn Waters, Cassandra Carr, Annabeth Albert, Sara York, Bianca Sommerland, Whitley Gray, Dalton Diaz and Mia Downing

Welcome to Cathia University!

School is in session! Nine of today's hottest gay romance authors have crafted brand-new interrelated novellas celebrating everything wonderful about college, with over 200,000 words featuring sophisticated professors, sexy teaching assistants, ambitious grad students, and spirited undergraduates, all looking for the same thing: an A+ in true love.

Story blurbs:

Annabeth Albert: Winning Bracket

Metrics and tournament brackets—who knew they were sexy? When competing dorm advisors Edwin and Ollie bet on a basketball tournament, neither expects he’s risking his heart. As the challenge becomes a hot bedroom battle to avoid real feelings, the two “frenemies” must change their definitions of losing to win a shot at lasting love.

Cassandra Carr: The Eloquent Jock

Hockey jock and English Lit major Brendan knows he’s gay, but hasn’t come out to anyone, fearing a possible backlash. Then he’s tapped to be a TA for a hot professor and feels an immediate connection. Now he must decide how much he’s willing to risk to score the ultimate goal.

Dalton Diaz: Lesson Learned

Adam Warren is counting down the days until he can put “Professor” next to his name—and his disastrous past with Tyler Ford behind him. When a fluke puts Tyler in Adam’s class, the graduate assistant faces some hard choices while Tyler faces an uphill battle for a second chance at first love.

Mia Downing: Switching Leads

Coach John Graham needs a new assistant for Cathia U's equestrian team. The last person he expects to get the job walks into the barn and stops his heart. How is he supposed to focus on the team when his ex-lover—sexy horse trainer Finn Parker—wants back into his life…and into his bed?

Whitley Gray: Artistic Endeavor

When friends ask one-night stand connoisseur Michael Esteban to introduce shy virgin Cobey Miller to the joys of sex, Michael balks—lust is his thing, not teaching. But Cobey’s problem meeting men fuels Michael’s decision to help Cobey become a gay-sex-loving guy. It’ll all be fun and games—unless someone falls in love.

Bianca Sommerland: Solid Education

Gage Tackett comes off as a bad boy—detached and maybe a little dangerous. Definitely not Vet Sciences Professor Derek Paulson’s type. When Gage arrives at Derek’s veterinary clinic with a frostbitten stray dog, Derek realizes his most difficult student has a few things to teach him. Things he’s more than willing to learn.

KyAnn Waters: Private Lessons

Ryan Kane could lose his scholarship and his position on the pitch. Jake Finely offers to help. Only Ryan and Jake discover their private lessons have more to do with sex ed than Business Ethics. When a tenured professor offers Ryan an indecent proposal to make the grade, will he choose soccer or Jake?

LA Witt: Did Somebody Order a Pizza?

Paul Switzer has been miserable ever since his childhood love, Cory Bowman, chose a fraternity over him. When a pizza delivery to the frat house lands the exes face to face for the first time in eighteen months, the wound is reopened... and so are Paul's feelings for the only man he's ever loved.

Sara York: The Dust Of Everyday Life

Cole only has the courage to lust after the swim team from afar. When Seever asks to share a table at the packed coffee house where Cole is studying, he’s sure it’s a joke. But after one touch and one scorching kiss, Cole thinks the chance meet could lead to something with substance.

Naughty Beach Fling Released!

Naughty Beach Fling (Are You Watching? #1) by Mia Dee
Naughty Beach Fling is the perfect way to heat up a cold winter's evening...or afternoon...or morning. A friend gave me the idea to expand into some straight erotica that explores some different avenues than my usual erotic romances. I enjoy reading spicy tales that take place after the newlywed bliss wears off and decided to try my hand at writing a few. I had fun writing this installment and look forward to publishing the next one very soon. I hope you enjoy.

~Mia

Wendy Anderson’s good girl halo tarnishes in a big way when she discovers a few secrets about her husband’s sexy best friend, Travis Smith. Back in college, Travis made porn films to make ends meet. More surprising, her husband, Justin, used to film them and act as director. While on vacation, Wendy’s imagination goes wild, and she can’t help but wonder if the two guys will indulge in some naughty beach fun.

This short novella is a work of erotica. It's short, hot, and contains: Wife watching and a little m/f/m action at the end. 10,800 words.
